The Lady or the tiger
As Alexander enters the arena, the metal doors crack open as he discovers millions of people curiously staring from every direction, he ignores the crowd and focuses at the doors until he sees the breath-taking sight of Sarah, the woman he loves and would die for in a heartbeat. As he stares at her, he smiles and remembers the first time they met.
It was Autumn and he was sleeping next to tree. Abruptly, he heard footsteps coming towards him and instinctively, he climbed onto a tree hiding himself from the person coming. As the footsteps come closer and closer, he saw a beautiful girl with wavy, gorgeous, blonde hair and blue eyes, which resemble a cloudless sky on a hot summer day. Despite the fact, she was effortlessly attractive, he saw tears rolling down her face forming a puddle of crystal-clear on the ground. Without thinking he jumps off the tree and slowly comes towards her. Before he could take another step the girl kicks the back of his neck. His image of the girl starts to blur and slowly into darkness.
As the body of the guy lay on the ground unconscious, a wave of panic comes over Sarah. What has she done? That innocent guy was trying to help her and she knocks him out. She starts to observe the guy looking at his cinnamon hair and then his tattoo of a rose. For some reason the girl just knew the rose must symbolise something, however her thoughts were interrupted by the guys moving hand. He puts his hand on his face and starts to mumble words that the girl couldn't work out and says: "For a girl who looks so innocent and vulnerable, you seem..."
" No, I just take some self-defense classes, so it's just a reaction, you know, instinct." she interrupted.
"Well, tell your instinct to calm down because i'm here to help you, not to eat you." The boy said amused.
"Anyway, I was wondering if you could tell me where the Royal Palace is?" She asked hoping the guy knew where the palace is.
" Why would you want to go to the palace?" The boy asked confused, " It's not like they'll help you"
"I need to go there because I live there." The girl replied .
"Are you one of his wives?" The boy asked with horror, "I mean aren't you a bit too young..."
"No, ugh... That's disgusting,he's my father" The girl replied in horror in her voice.
" That makes so much more sense." Alexander said relieved with a smile.
Before they could continue their conversation the girl's stomach started to rumble and growl.
" Well, I guess I'll get something for us to eat," he said with a cheeky smile, " Do you know how to climb trees or should i give you a piggy-back ride."
"In your dreams, I bet I can get to the top of this tree before you can." she replied. Before Alexander could reply, the girl started to climb towards the top of the tree finding a treehouse.
"I let you win..." the boy says panting.
"There's a higher chance of winning the lottery then you beating me," She laughed, "Before we go in, I was wondering what that tattoo means."
Even though the boy only knew this girl for half a day, he felt like he can trust her so he took a deep breath said: "My mum, Rose, was murdered when I was 4, I remember me sleeping in my bed and waking up and hearing my mum's screams for second or 3 and it suddenly became quiet in our house. My doors creaked open and my father covered in blood, scratches and a piece of glass stuck to his leg, took me into his arms and said "I can't take care of you anymore, you remind me to much of my failure, be good at your new home." Afterwards he left I lived in my grandma's house, then she died when I was 10. Then I was moved to my aunt's but hated there so I ran away and lived in the woods since then. This tattoo is a symbolism of my mum because I don't remember how she looked, just non- vivid images of her laughs or smiles. I'll stop boring you to death, let's go and have something to drink." He pulled out his hand and helped the girl in and that was the moment when they knew they were in love with each other. This memory was interrupted by the scream from the audience saying "Get this over with drool-boy."

Looking at Sarah, I notices the king whispering some words in her ear and immediately, all the color from vanish her face as if she saw a ghost. Sarah points at the right door with her trembling hand. His thoughts were about Sarah the woman he adored not only, but the woman who had his life in her hands. Worried about the princess, Alexander points at the right door. As he opens the doors, he discovers a hairy orange-gold palm with five shiny claws. He secretly hoped it was a woman with such hands, but who was he kidding, this is a brutal, blood-thirsty tiger who has come to tear his flesh apart. As the tiger jumps onto Alexander all Sarah could think about was what if she said to choose the left door? Would he run away into a different place? But, who knows? As she looks at the bloody body of Alexander she notices his chest expanding and coughing out blood, he says " How could you be so selfish." The words caused Sarah to turn as pale as the moon that moves alone through lonely space.
The tiger devours Alexander and roars and returns back to the doors of fate and awaiting for his victim's next mistake. As the brutal event ends, Sarah walks into her room crying rivers for the man she loved. The guilt is slowly devouring her as Alexander's voice echoes in her head. How could you be so selfish? She tries to fall asleep, but all she can think about the flashing images in her mind of Alexander getting killed by the tiger. Her heart was breaking into million pieces. Then she notices a long japanese knife behind a glass container she was given on her 15th birthday. She smashes the glass with her hands causing her hand to bleed. Ignoring the agony in her hands, she pierces the knife through her heart, believing it doesn't deserve to beat. Slowly her hands stop trembling. As she stares into blank space as she feels a wave of all feelings such as pain, guilt and sadness. Would Alexander want her to die? Will she ever meet Alexander?
"Of course not," she thought to herself, " he would go to heaven and she would go to hell." Then the last thought past her mind, guilt will still be eating her alive no matter if she's alive or not.
