"School is so,so,so boring" she heard Sophie mumble. Kay looked over at Sophie and told her grumpy best friend to shut up because class was still in session. Sophie however just kept on going. After a few more mumbles she focused back on class. Kay looked back to the smart board where her science teacher Mr. Joseph was talking about how to dissect a frog properly. Science was Kay's favorite class but sometimes it could get boring. Kay Acoustic is Kay's full name. She is an 8th grader at Tallahassee Middle School. Science was Kay's and Sophie's last class.
"Hey Kay!"
"What!"
"Are you mad at me?"
"No."
"Ok so how about we hit Starbucks later."
"Can't I'm busy."
"What are you doing?"
Just then the schools bell rang. Kay jumped out of her seat and raced to the door.Just as she was stepping into the hallway Sophie stopped her.
"Are you ignoring me?"
"No Sophie, I am not."
"Then hang out with me!"
"No!"
"Why?"
"Because I promised my little brother to pick him up."
"Why didn't you say that in the first place?" "I thought you hated your brother and he hated you?"
"No I don't hate him Sophie,I just really,really don't like him ."
"So basically your saying that you hate Nick."
"Sure." "Anyways I have no idea why Nick told me to pick him up,but boys are just boys you know."
"Yeah."
"Crap!" "Now I'm late to pick Nick up geez if he gets mad Im blaming you."
"Bye soph."
"Bye Kay see you tomorrow."
But what they didn't know was that by tomorrow their whole lives would change.
