On a bright summers day, when birds merrily sung their restless tune and the timeless seasons began to freeze a little girl with long brown hair quickly waded through the long blades of bright green grass. Her bright hazel eyes glistened with happiness as she ran as fast as a cheetah towards the top of the sunlight lit hill where two figures stood underneath a large oak tree that cast it's shadow over them.

"Liz, Aurora, over here!!" The sprinting girl shouted with glee, The two figures turned towards the girl and smiled showing off their bright teeth. "Hey Lilly" they both called back beckoning her towards them. When Lilly finally reached the old tree she hugged the two girls tightly and greeted them.

"Liz how was the Movie?" she questioned facing the tall blonde girl, "it was quite boring" she laughed "but I've got leftover sweets" she exclaimed as she grabbed a bag of assorted goodies from her pocket and shared them among the giggling group of friends.

"Did you do anything exciting today Aurora?" Lilly asked the other girl. Aurora pushed her short black hair away from her eyes and grinned with sparkling eyes, "I dropped a water ballon on my brothers head" she said wheezing from the memory. "I hope he's alright" Lilly said over her two laughing friends. "Of course he's alright lilly, lighten up" Liz said playfully shoving Lilly's shoulder making Lilly smile.

"Hey guys, I bought both of you something" Lilly whispered while staring at the gracefully falling leaves that danced their way to the ground. Her two friends looked at her and made small noises of acknowledgement.

Lilly slowly removed two small packages wrapped carefully in bright colours and topped with a red bow. "I bought one for each of us" she chuckled and shoved the presents into their arms with movements as swift as a sparrow. The two curious girls started to unravel their gifts and hold them up in wonder, letting them sparkle in the suns beams like a sparkling diamond. "They're star shaped keychains" Lilly told them "we all said we wanted to be astronomers when we grow up right?, so I got us these as a promise of our friendship in the future".

The three friends then beamed at one another and clinked their small tokens together with a stream of light laughter echoing in the wind.

True to their word so far the trio of merry friends had stayed together till next summer where the time to renew their vows quickly approached. On the day they all walked into the small town to buy some refreshing ice cream to cool them down on the scalding day.

"Hey Aurora, can I try some of your bubblegum ice cream, it looks delicious" Liz asked in an innocent tone, "of course" Aurora replied holding her ice cream out for Liz to take. Just when Liz was about the grasp the dainty cone Aurora's hand shot back and a cackling laughter ensued. "Aurora!!, your so mean" Liz whined shoving Aurora lightly in the process.

In an almost slow motion manner Aurora's ice cream slipped from her hands and hit the sidewalk making the stone sizzle from the cooling snack. "LIZ!!, WHY DID YOU DO THAT YOU JERK!!" Aurora screamed forcefully pushing her friends back causing her treat to fall into the busy street. "Guys, please stop!!" Lilly intervened trying to put an end to their fight. The two friends didn't hear her pleas and continued to fights shoving and pulling each other's hair screaming insults back and forth.

Suddenly a snap was heard and the star shaped keychain attached to Liz's bag broke off and bounced into the street. Gasping Lilly ran away from her arguing friends and ran into the street to pick up the gold star. "Liz your star broke of but I-" Lilly paused halfway through her sentence as she heard the deafening honk of a trucks horn.

The two heads of her close buddy's snapped towards her as as ear-splitting scream was heard from the girl and a truck hit her small delicate body with a sucking crunch. "LILLY" screamed the remaining friends as they sprinted towards the bruised and broken body of their best friend.
