It was 5:30am in the morning when Daniel the coordinator or let me say 'commander' for the boys opened the large entrance door of the boys hostel and rang the bell he had used the previous day so as to wake the boys for an early morning exersize.
"Ring! Ring!! Ring!!!...." "WAKE UP BOYS WE HAVE A LONG DAY AHEAD!" he shouted even louder than the previous day.
Some of the boys reluctantly got out of bed to get themselves ready but Ben had no intention of pertaking in this kind of drill.
The commander walked to where Ben was still sleeping like a year old child, held the blanket and pulled it over his head. Ben was shocked at the force that pulled his blanket and quickly looked up to see who had the guts to disturb his sleep but surprisingly, he did not still stand up even when he knew how people feared the commander.
"GET UP BOY! ITS A NEW DAY!!" The commander shrugged.
At this point, Ben could not say a word. He didn't know how to tell the commander that he was not interested in joining the training. The commander had this look on his that clearly explains how he would not take a 'no' for an answer.
He stood up reluctantly and got out of his old mattress, wore his joggers and Man United jersey top.
He picked up his shoes and took a quick glance at the commander but the commander had already turned his attention to the other boys who were preparing themselves for the exercise.
Ben walked out the hall with the other boys and headed to the football field.
As they'd arrive at the field, the commander told them to run round the field before the proper work out.
After the training, the two commanders gave everyone tickets for breakfast.
As Ben was about to leave with the other boys, his eyes met with a girl that smiled at him like she knew him from somewhere. Unsure of her looks, Ben walked closer to the girl that had smiled at h.
When he got close to her, the expression on his face looked like he had just met the 'queen of the coast'. She looked like a marmaid, brown sexy eyes, fair soft looking skin with curves like the figure '8' "she looks like the Angel God had sent to watch over me!" He thought as he courageously spoke to her.
"Hi my name is Ben and I like your smile" Ben said in a cool voice.
"Debby, my name is Debby" she replied. "Ok hmm I am going to get myself cleaned up, see you around" Ben said as he shook her hand and walked towards the direction of the boys hostel.
After Ben had washed himself, information reached him from the other boys that the morning devotion would commence at 9:00am so they should all go eat their breakfast and report straight to the main church auditorium close to the main gate.
"Oh so that building is the main auditorium?" He asked himself and nodded like he just gained knowledge from he Holy Spirits.
Moments later, the devotion was over and Ben was yet to see Aina. As he was about to leave the auditorium, somebody tapped him from behind. He turned and saw Debby smiling at him "hey! You are here" Ben said excitedly. "Yup I saw you the moment you came in but I did not want to disturb you" she replied.
They talked as they walked out the church to the field where other teenagers had spread out to either play football or chat with new friends.
Ben and Debby walked to a small store where snacks were sold and purchased some snacks.
After buying a few things, some friends of Debby came by and asked her to follow them.without even waiting for her to reply, one of the girls grabbed her by the hand and pulled her to a place where they all gathered themselves to gossip leaving Ben alone.
Ben was already starting to feel like the Bootcamp was boring after all he had planed, the whole thing was just like high school.
After launch, he was about to go back to the hostel to get ready for the main training exercise when he saw Aina walking to the store where snacks were sold.
Happily, he rushed up to her and grabbed her hand still smiling. "Oh my gosh! I have been looking for you, where have you been?" She asked. "I have been looking all over for you too!" He replied as they both continued to talk.
After the training they met again at the snacks store and continued chatting until it was time for them to leave and go back to their hostels.
