Same nightmare every night. Me running away from something amazingly big and bad and than running right off a cliff to my death- but instead of hitting the floor and going splat I keep falling and falling and falling. So there you have it folks another dreamless sleep again and I kinda had to admit, my life sucked. My name is Felicity I don't go by a last name- Not since my parents left me here. At the orphanage.
"Good mornin' sleeping beauty!" The owner of the small orphanage, Anne, said to me and I nodded at her, acknoliging her presence. "More like sleepless troll." Some one whispered and I pushed down the urge to smack them senseless. They wanted to hurt me, I'd play it cool. "Hi birthday girl!" My best friend Rachel said jumping up from behind me and squeezing my shoulder. "It's not my birthday yet." I mumbled blushing, wishing I could melt into the ground. Unlike me Rachel lived for attention, I suspected It was because she never had any one to really love her. "Hey everyone!" Rachel said loudly, standing up on the table and I started to have the feeling something bad was about to happen. "Do you know what tomorrow is?" Rachel had this ability to liven any one up- make even the grumpiest, meanest, person a happy friendly soul, she was a crowd worker. "No." Almost everyone said. And I knew what was coming next- I would have to be stupid not to. "Do you want to know?" Everyone nodded their heads and Rachel smiled. "Okay!" Clapping her hands, happy birthday music started blaring from an unseen sound system and I had the lurking suspicion Anne had a hand in this. "Tomorrow is Felicity's Birthday!" I swear I heard half the people say 'who?' and I wanted to die right there on the spot. "So I'm going to sing Party rock anthem to celebrate!" Rachel was known by everyone for her fabulous voice, and right now the moment was more about Rachel than me so I let myself relax. As Rachel started singing I sat down on a table a couple seats away. All of a sudden A spotlight shined on me and the music changed. To happy birthday music. Oh crud. "Haaaaappy birthday to you!!!!!" She started to sing the spotlight waving on me as I tried to break out of the crowd of orphans and outside, but it was no use people and walls blocked my path. And that was when my powers manifested. When the building blew up.
