Abby: are you all ready? We're on in 5.

Girls: yeh..

Maddie: mum quick where's my other earring?

Kalani: hey mads is this it? The diamond one?

Maddie: yeh that's it Kalani thanks.

Kenzie: Brooke can we go over our shoulder stands quickly? Coz when I lean towards you I usually tend to slip..

Brooke: yeh come on to this corner.

Abby: girls lets go lets go.

Brooke: Kenzie just remember to point your toes whilst in shoulder stand and don't twist your hand towards me. Otherwise you'll fall flat.

Kenzie nods.

Presenter: ladies and gentlemen welcome to this years nationals..
We have a variety of studios ready to perform but first lets welcome the judges. First to the left we have Paul Cyrus who's worked in Joffrey ballet school for quite some time. Beside him we have head of pineapple studios Anne Marie. And last of all head of the nationals dance community Christian Williams.
So first up we have Mediterranean dance company.

Next up we have wbtd dance studio (woman born to dance)

Next up we have candy apples dance studio..
Abby whispers: lets see what these rotten apples have to bring us. Probably a rotten piece.

When they finished.

Abby: Cathy obviously choreographed this. (giggles a little)

Next up we have determined woman dance studio.

And lastly we have the ALDC.

Cathy: boooo👎

Abby: good you listened to the music and got the timing right and you worked on your mistakes in rehearsals and no one made any in the group and well done Kenzie and Brooke for the perfect shoulder stand.

Get ready for the solos and duets..

Presenter: lets hear it for our solos...

In 4th place is amazing grace-chloe (Aldc)
In 3rd place is get up and dance your heart out-Nia (Aldc)
In 2nd place is move that body-Maddie (Aldc)
And in 1st place is (drum roll)
Feeling blue-Kalani (Aldc)

Well done all next is the duets..
In 4th place we have pretty hurts-kayley, avery (Mediterranean)
In 3rd place is miss you already-Amelia, demi (determined woman)
In 2nd place is bitterly sweet-chanelle, kayley (wbtd)
And in 1st place is (drum roll)
Bend a bit more-Brooke, Mackenzie (ALDC)

Now the other awards..
Positive dancer goes to kayley (wbtd)
Flexibility of the year is Brooke (Aldc)
Runner up to dancer of the year and gets a scholarship to Joffrey ballet school is Maddie (Aldc)
dancer of the year 2014 and gets a scholarship to Joffrey ballet school and a chance to perform in the nutcracker at broad way this December is (drum roll) Kalani (Aldc)
And nationals of the year is...... ALDC!!! Congratulations.

Well done to all and thanks for coming have a good week everybody...

Abby collect trophy and heads to the girls..

Well done all we won nationals I'm very happy, we won the group we came 4th 3rd 2nd and 1st for the solos and we came 1st for the duet and also we won flexibility of the year well done Brooke, we won runner up to dancer of the year, well done Maddie you are now in Joffrey and we won dancer of the year well done Kalani you surprised me today, and your also in Joffrey so you'll be seeing Maddie there in summer next year and you get to be in the nut cracker next month December.. Now lets go home with this trophy and celebrate our victory!!!!

Maddie: I'm really happy we won and I'm happy for Kalani, Im happy because I get to see her in Joffrey which is cool coz I'll have my best friend to support me there.

Kalani:OMG I'm freaking out I won dancer of the year and my solo, 3rd time in a row that I have won my solo and 1st time I have one dancer of the year.. Im so happy I get to see Maddie and chloe there in Joffrey.

Chloe: I'm really happy we won nationals and I'm very happy for Maddie and Kalani, I get to see them in Joffrey as I won dancer other the year last year so I'm already in Joffrey.
