Sophia,

I came here to die but instead, I found life.

I first found it in your eyes... they were like the ocean... deep, mysterious, dangerous but at the same time, calming and peaceful.

Then you smiled and it was the sweetest, most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It instantly captured my heart in ways I could never understand.

You were spring. You were the soft warmth of the sun, the smell of fresh air, and the sight of flowers that bloomed in a field of fresh grass. You were spring and all the hope and promise of new beginnings that it brings.

I, on the other hand, was autumn. I was dark and cold and smelled of burning leaves. I reeked of anger and frustration and every kind of destruction that comes with it.

Everything around me seemed to have stopped moving so they can watch me slowly, helplessly fall to the ground.

I thought I was going to turn to dust, almost invisible and easily forgotten, but you swooped in like a gentle gust of wind and carried me safely back home.

You are everything to me, Sophia. I love you and I will come back for you.

Elijah
