Terminal illness

Dan Howell was, in all honesty, nervous. He was finally meeting up with three of the most important people in his life. Chris, PJ, and Phil were all large influences on his life. Ever since he had met them all in an internet chatroom, his eyes had gotten brighter, his smile more genuine. He found it kind of funny how adults told him not to talk to strangers, and by defying that rule, he had become a much better person.

Phil, PJ, and Chris were thinking just about the same thing, though each of them had separate issues to worry about. Phil had his dysphoria, PJ had his depression, and Chris had years of mental and physical abuse from his home life. But now they could finally leave the pain behind them, as they were all of legal age.

Phil, being the oldest, felt responsible for the other boys. He would often take on a protective nature, asking how they all had been or if they were going through anything. Phil kept note of everyone's problems and made sure to be very sensitive towards them.

Chris would sometimes make small flirty comments toward PJ, but honestly it was mostly humor. He was the comedian of the group, always knowing how to make the other's smile. Though his jokes weren't always appreciated.

And finally, there was PJ. Arguably the most sensible in the group. If there was ever an issue the wavy haired boy was quick to sort it out, lest any arguments sparked. But, fortunately, nothing too hostile ever come into their chatroom.

Now, back to the terminal. The first to arrive in Manchester was Phil. Of course, he had made sure that he was the first one to Starbucks, so he wouldn't miss anyone's arrival. The foursome had agreed to make the only coffee shop in the airport their meeting place.

Next to arrive at the establishment was the brown haired Howell, who quickly embraced Phil. After reassuring the older male that he was not dehydrated, and that he was completely okay, Dan joined his friend on the over-used couch.

PJ and Chris had met on their way to Starbucks, and they walked into Starbucks together. Wordlessly, the four flashed each other toothy grins, and they gathered in a group hug. The first to speak was Chris. "Well, aren't we just a fantastic foursome?"

The rest of the night was a blur for the tired young men. Their cab quickly picked them up and took them to the hotel they would share for the night. PJ was, surprisingly, the first one to suggest sleeping arrangements, opting to share a bed with Chris. So then, the boys settled in for the night, falling asleep before their heads had even hit their pillows.
