beep.beep........beep.beep........beep.beep. God I hated that sound. The sound of the machine hooked up to my lover. It meant that I failed protecting him... and because of that he is attached to this devil machine.

He looked so pale... so.... broken.

I reached over and grabbed his small hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze and I put my face into his hair.

"Your going to be okay. I promise Yugi." I whispered to him.

It all happened so fast. Nobody had time to react. The city was in shambles and all because of an earthquake that hit Japan.

My other husband Atemu was helping put out the fires and helping people escape. I silently prayed to Ra that he would be okay.

I was one of the lucky ones... I escaped my business building with only a couple cuts and bruises. My aibou wasn't so lucky. Our house collapsed with him inside.

I felt the ground move again and the lights flicker a bit. My grip tightened out of instinct, I heard a couple people scream again. Those were the after shocks of that horrible quake. Even though I knew the worst was over I was terrified that one of the after shocks would make the roof fall on top of us, crushing us all.

I looked up when I heard the door open and Atemu was standing in the door way.

"How is he?" he asked. Atemu looked absolutely horrible. He had bags under his eyes from the hours of work and I could tell from his posture he was absolutely exhausted.

I walked over and hugged him tightly. "I don't know... the nurses didn't tell me much." I said just above a whisper, my voice breaking. He hugged me back.

"Our Aibou is strong. He'll make it." he comforted me.

I nodded and we both sat down at the side of his bed. None of us had anything else to say. After a while I heard Atemu start to snore.

I felt a small smile tug from the corner of my lips and got up to ask a nurse for a blanket. I came back and wrapped him up.

It wasn't long before I felt my eyes droop and I let sleep take over me as well.

"Yami! Wake up!"

I groaned.

"Yami, Wake up. Yugi's awake."

I opened my eyes slowly and saw amethyst orbs looking at me. They were dull, but at least he was awake.

"Yugi!" I got up and hugged him gently not wanting to hurt him at all.

"Ya...mi. Atemu?" his voice came out raspy at first. Atemu kissed his forehead "You scared us Aibou..."

Yugi looked around "Where are we? What happened?"

"There was an earthquake Yugi.... the game shop didn't make it." I explained slowly and softly. His eyes started to water.

"What about grandpa..."

Atemu and I were both silent. Until Atemu cleared his throat "Solomon... didn't make it Yugi." I saw the look of absolute grief and sadness on Yugi's face.

"What..." his voice cracked and tears started pouring down his face. Atemu and I hugged him from both sides.

"It's okay, we'll always be here for you Aibou." I said to comfort him.

"Grand...pa...." he said brokenly. I felt my heart breaking at how broken he sounded.

He sniffed "What are we gonna do. We have no home now."

"Yes we do Yugi. Our home is with each other." i knew it sounded cliche but I think we all needed to here that. "As long as we stay together. We have a home." Yugi smiled and hugged me. I hugged back and then I felt Atemu wrap his arms around me and Yugi.

The ground started shaking again, our hearts along with it.

But this time I wasn't afraid.
