She put her hands on the small bump in her belly.
"Namjoon!" Suga called. A small boy waddled over to Suga screeching with laughter. Suga picked him up and twirled around with the little boy over his head. Finally he settled the little boy on his hip and they went inside. Eunsuh held her little baby girl tightly and Suga set down Namjoon so he could play with Jimin's baby boy, Taehyung. She smiled and went over to help female Jimin down the stairs. Her stomach was swollen and she was having a little trouble. Jungkook ran out and began to help her too. J-Hope went over to play with the little boys, laughing and screaming along with them. The door opened and Jin walked in pushing Misook in a wheelchair. She held a little baby girl in her arms. Jin looked happier than he had in a long time. She smiled and held Suga's hand. They all sat around the living room talking and laughing, remembering old times. Well the ones they wanted to remember. She turned around and watched Namjoon play with Taehyung, who was a little over a year older. She could see he was getting tired.
"Namjoon." She called softly. He ran over to her, rubbing his tired eyes with his tiny fists. She picked him up and set him down in her lap. She kissed the top of his head,
"Tired?" She asked. He shook his head stubbornly. She laughed and held him until he dozed off.
Suga closed the door behind Jungkook and Jimin, and their house was empty again. She held Namjoon, barely awake in her arms. Suga smiled at her and kissed her forehead. He placed a hand on her stomach,
"How are you feeling?"
"Good. I'm gonna go get Namjoon into his PJs." She kissed Suga's cheek.
"I'll go get the bed ready." He smiled and they walked upstairs.
She laid Namjoon down in between them. She wanted to sleep with her baby tonight.
"Daddy, can you tell me a story." Namjoon whined. Suga smiled and nodded,
"Sure." Suga smiled and began,
"Once upon a time their was a princess and a commoner. He was enchanted by her beauty and stared at her from behind the palace walls whenever she walked out into the garden. One day she noticed him and asked him what he was doing. He didn't know what to say, and she laughed at him. SHe invited him within the palace walls and took him into the giant hedge maze the castle had. They sat together and talked for hours. Then finally the commoner had to leave. The princess invited him back the next day, and the next day, and the next day, and the next day after that. Soon they fell in love, but it had to be secret. Because the evil Queen wanted the princess to marry a prince. Then one day, the commoner's father told him he must join the army. The commoner wanted to, to protect the princess and almost did. But the princess talked him out of it and they ran away together. The ran and ran to faraway kingdoms, but the evil Queen sent the army after the couple. Eventually they were caught and the princess was returned to the palace, but she did not allow the boy to be killed. In exchange she vowed to never leave her room. The boy was forced into the army and slowly became stronger and vowed to save the princess. After traveling far and wide, the commoner, now a soldier, returned to the princess. He climbed the palace walls and rescued her from her prison. They escaped through the maze and were never seen again. They had two children and lived happily ever after. " Suga never took his eyes off her while telling the story. She smiled at him broadly.
"Girls have cooties!" Namjoon shrieked and buried his face into his mother. Nari looked down at his little head and squeezed him tightly, kissing his head. Suga chuckled and pulled them both into his arms.
"One day you'll understand." She smiled and buried her face into Suga's collar.
Namjoon was asleep peacefully between them in a moment.
"Are you happy?" He asked her softly.
"Incandescently." She murmured, emotion filling her voice. Their past was far behind them, and the worst of their tumultuous roller coaster ride as over. They had lost a lot but they had gained a lot too, and she was happy. He squeezed her tighter.
"That's all I ever wanted."
