The screaming and yelling of my parents increased down stairs in the kitchen. By what they were fighting about I could tell that my mother, of course, had been drinking again.

"why did you kill him? he was our only son!!!" screamed my mother, she only paused to take another drink. I loved him!" He has been for years now. Why cant she just drop it?

"Honey, calm down. Would you like to get the cops called?" Dad paused for only a moment before he continued. "Me and you both know damn well that did not kill him, meg." my father shouted.

"Will you just shut up Eric!?" I heard a thud with glass shattering with it. Cringing trying to ignore the fighting below my feet, I looked out the window at the abandoned house besides mine. I really hope its unlocked.

Walking towards the window, I could hear the faint sirens in the distant. Crap! someone really had to call the cops?. sighing, I gripped my hands on the window, I slowly lifted up trying to avoid the creak In the window. I opened it enough so that my little nine year old body could fit through. as I got one leg out the window and onto the little ledge, footsteps were running up the stairs with yelling following them close behind.

I was climbing out of the window my dad was opening the door. I slammed the window closed hearing it click. turning to my dad I could see fear in his eyes as he struggled to close and lock the door.

"Daddy?" I walked towards him. "is everything okay?" Of course there's something wrong, dumbnut. Him and mom are fighting, don't act so stupid. I was arguing with myself.

He walked the rest of the distance and picked me up holding me tighter than before I could hardly breath. as he spoke he stroked my hair softly. "Pumpkin, I love you and your.." he paused choking on his words. "brother. You know I wouldn't hurt either of you, but your mother on the oth--" his words were cut off. He looked to the door as the pounding of my mothers feet reached the door. Then the banging began.

"OPEN THIS GODDAMN DOOR!!" she screamed. "Now Eric!!!!" she continue to pound on the door until it rattled.

My father swallowed hard and stuttered as he finished his sentence. "O-on the other hand" he paused dragging his eyes away from the door to me. "Your mother would, she killed your brother" I tried to act shocked. I already knew this. Why was he telling me again? They don't hide stuff as well as they think.

As soon as I opened my mouth to say something my door finally broke open. My mom stood in the door way. Her eyes soul-less and her face was covered in sweat; it was hard to believe that this woman was a mom... Or my mother for that matter. One of her arms were tucked behind her back.

"Put her down Eric" her voice was cold, and heartless.

"No, not until you get a grip of yourself!" said my father his voice fierce but you could still hear the fear.

She smirked. "fine, if that's how you want it to be she can die with you then." she started walking closer.

My father moved me off is lap and on to the floor at the end of my bed. It was tall enough that all I could see was the top of my mothers head.

As he out me down and kisses the top of my head whispering 'i love you'. He turned back around just to see my mother reaching around him and grabbing my hair.

I screamed. She dragged me out to the middle of the room and let go of me. I backed against the wall trying to get out of the room.

"She needs to see how Her worthless piece of shit father dies and maybe she would be more grateful" mom turned around and grabbed my hand. She revealed what she was holding behind her back. A simple steak knife.  Shoving it into my head she yelled "kill him!".

I looked at my father starting to cry as he backed against the window. The sirens were getting louder. I looked back at my mother trying to see if she ment it.

"Now! Kill him now". Before I could react she ripped me up by my hair and dragged me to where my dad was. He starting to cry which made me cry more. My mother was behind me controlling my hand like I was her puppet.

Then all of the sudden my hand came down with the knife stricking my dad in his stomach. When he screamed I screamed, my mother she laughed. I started to scream more when she rammed the knife down into his body multiple times. Salty, copperish blood splattered my face and clothes.

"I'm sorry daddy! I'm sorry!" I screamed over and over as the knife in my hand repeatedly ramed down into my lifeless father's body. As she stopped I dropped the knife and fell onto my dads body sobbing.

"Good job baby girl, you did well" my mother said behind me. I looked back at her , she had the biggest smile plastered on her face. She reached out to touched my hair but I moved away.

"Don't you date touch me" my voice shook with fear. My mother laughed. I could hear the sirens out side the house. Crap.

Mom looked twords the window at the sound and then looks down at her blood spattered clothes. "Well," she said happy as can be. "I have to go change my clothes and tell the police my daughter just killed my husband". She walked out of the room and left me there crying over my father.

The rest of the night came in a blur. The last thing I remember is sitting in the back of a cop car in hand cuffs, turning around to see my mom getting smaller in the distance with a smirk and tears falling down her face watching me.
