It's My Turn
(Cloud)
All I could see was the painful tear dribbling down his face. It tore me apart. He just stood there, crying. He didn't know how much this hurt me. To see him cry, to see his pain, his lovely green eyes stained red. My eyes scrolled down his body. His hands were wrapped around the blade. Bloody, filthy, broken. This would describe him. Perfectly. His red lips spewed blood, matching the colour of his hair. His eyes stared at me so sadly. The hurt, not from the weapon, from the person who had put it through him. He fell, on his side, and couldn't move because of the sword going through him. I dropped to my knees beside him. I touched his face, leaving bloody fingerprints. I ducked my head and cried as hard as I could. I closed his eyelids, hating the cold, dead look coming from his lifeless eyes. I leaned over him and wailed. I grabbed the foot coming at my side and pushed it back. He grabbed my hair and pulled me back. I was sitting, holding myself up with my elbows. I looked up at him sadly.
"I'm done." I squeaked. He laughed bitterly.
"Almost." he assured. He faced his men and motioned to me. Two of them came over and grabbed my arms, pulling me up. I hung my head, crying still.
"We have two more for you." He said, turning around. I shook my head violently.
"No! No, you cant, please!" I screamed. My knees gave out, but the men held me up. He turned and whipped his flat hand. I winced but it hurt anyways. I looked away, my head pounding.
"Shut your fucking mouth! You're mine! I tell you what to do! Don't fucking talk!" Sephiroth spat in my face. I heard a noise behind us. I glanced behind, keeping my face hidden. I saw him, his red hair flowed lightly. Suddenly the strong hands holding me up loosened and I fell. I stood and looked around. The men were laying on the ground, decapitated. Sephiroth turned and was stabbed from the shadowed walls. He came out, holding the sword in one hand and his chest in the other. He pulled it out, Sephiroth fell. He ran to me, the sword clanging on the ground, and held me tightly. I hugged him back, but my eyes were fixed ahead of me, not accepting the open truth.
"It-I-I'm sorry." he whispered before falling to the ground, this time for good. I looked down.
"Reno!" I screamed, my scratchy voice echoed through the halls. I fell and hugged his broken body on the ground.
"No!" again, screaming. This was all to familiar.
"Cloud! Cloud help us!" I heard cries from down the slim hallway. I looked at Reno's pale face. I leaned down and kissed his cold lips before taking the sword and leaving. Down the hall, I cut the ropes free and hugged my kids. I need not ask where Tifa was, I already knew. I led them out of the small cave and to safety. They kept asking where she was, but I didn't have the heart to tell them. I didn't have a heart at all. I was empty.

"Cloud, dinner." she yelled from the kitchen. I didn't move. She came into the room.
"Cloud? Are you okay?" she asked, sitting down. I stared straight ahead, unable to forget. She sighed and wrapped her arm around me protectively.
"I promise I won't let him come back. I'm your sister, I wouldn't let something like that happen to you." Lightning said sweetly. Silence. She sighed and stood.
"You're hopeless." she muttered, returning to the kitchen. It hurt me to see her try. She couldn't help. Nobody could.
"...Yes. No, doctor, I told you, he hasn't been..." I overheard. She must be on the phone.
"Okay. Really? Great, thank you. I'll see you soon." she finished, hanging up the phone. She came into the room and sat beside me.
"Cloud, I called the psychiatrist. Doctor Korsica Querian will be here any minute. She's going to help you, okay?" Lightning explained. I turned to her.
