"I'm home."

Sugawara slowly closed the door behind him. Trying to be as soft as possible, not wanting to wake [Name] up from her slumber. It was a late freezing Saturday night and Sugawara had just returned home from a three day business trip.

Walking through the empty dark hallway, Sugawara fumbled around for the light switch.

Sugawara wondered if [Name] had missed him as much as he did. No matter how much he wanted to see [Name] now, wanting to give her the hugs and kisses that the both of them had missed. It does not change the fact that it was already very late and [Name] had probably already fallen asleep on their soft, comfortable king sized bed that he cannot wait to drive into as, he can feel the sleepiness about to take over him.

Flicking the switch on, squinting his eyes a bit due to the sudden invasion of light.

It had honestly surprised Sugawara to see [Name] sleeping soundly beside the coffee table. Head resting on top of her crossed arms, eyelids closed and her breathing deep and relaxed, all the muscles in her face and body were at peace. Not a twitch, not a spasm, barely any movement except for her chest rising and falling with each intake of air.

A faint fragrance of coffee lingering in the air which Sugawara took noticed of. Reminding himself to lecture [Name] the first thing in the morning for abusing the amount of intake of coffee. But, being the kind, sweet heart he was, he decided to overlook it this time. After all, [Name] must have known that she would have fallen asleep and this led her to drink many cups of coffee in order to try and stay awake just so that she is able to welcome him home.

Sugawara chuckled softly, smiling warmly at the scene in front of him. Draping a blanket around [Name]'s shoulders, hands reaching out to brush away the bangs covering her forehead. Kissing her forehead, "I'm home, [Name]."
