Connor's POV-

"Hey Connor....." Laciey said. Something seems a little off with her. "Hey Laciey. I haven't seen you in a while" my dad said as he walked into the hall. "Oh. Hey Greg. Sorry I've been busy." explains Laciey. My dad, Greg Ball, lets everyone close to him call him Greg. "Yeah, Lace. You should come over soon. We could hang out just like old times" I said. "I don't think you girlfriend would like that and I'm here only for candles and then I'm leaving but don't worry I will bring them back after the storm" Laciey spoke a little too calmly. "Oh don't worry about that Laciey. We will be over for dinner next Friday, so we will just grab them then. I will go grab a box for you to put them in. I will be right back" My Dad explained. As dad saunters off, Laciey and I are left in very uncomfortable silence for a few minutes. "Well... I'm going to start a fire since it's cold in here" I tell her. As I walk to the living room I her footsteps trailing behind me, As I kneel in front of the fireplace, I'm getting a few sparks flying but I don't get a flame. Every time I get a spark flying I hear a small, soft yet audible gasp behind me. After a few more tries I finally get a fire going and that's when I look over my shoulder and see Laciey completely frozen with fear etched into her beautiful face. "Are you okay?" I asked concerned. "Um-m I-I-I got-ta go-o" she stutters nervously. "Okay Lace I got all the candles for you in a box to take back over to you place" my dad exclaimed. I watch as she slowly gets up, walks over to my dad takes the box nervously and mutters a 'thank you', and walks out the door back to her place. I look over to my dad who is giving me a knowing smile, winks at me then turns and walks off. I swear the man knows something I don't, and I'm going to find out what it is. my thoughts are interrupted by a blaring ringtone from my pocket. I pull my phone out, and answer it without glancing at the caller ID.

"Connor," I answer.

"Hey Connor," replies my girlfriend, Elisabeth.

"Oh, hey Elisabeth, sorry."

"Can we talk tomorrow at school? It's important."

"Yeah, sure thing. I was going to talk to you tomorrow anyway. See you tomorrow during homeroom."

"Okay. Bye." She said right before she hung up without waiting on my reply.

Elisabeth's POV-

"Ok Haley, I finally told him." I tell my lifelong bestie. "You finally told Connor you need to break up!?" she says excitedly as she walks in my room with a bowl of popcorn. "No. I told him we need to talk.." I mumbled. "YOU WHAT!?," Haley screamed, "you said you wanted to break up with him for weeks now! Do you want Bradley to do it or me?"

"Umm, well, I'd rather have my twin do it, but I will do it," I calmly tell her. As soon as I finish saying that my stupid, idiotic twin brother, Bradley, burst through my door screaming, "WHY ARE YOU YELLING, I'M TRYING TO GET MY BEAUTY SLEEP!!!!"

"WHY ARE YOU YELLING? And seriously, beauty sleep? ," I smirked. "Oh Bradley dear you're going to need years and years of beauty sleep to look as sexy and gorgeous as us," Haley says grimly. "But we're twins!!" Bradley defends. "And we all know who got the good genes of this family, Bradley," I teases. "Me?," Bradley smirks. "Nope! not you, but a person that looks like you but the girl version," Haley smirks in return. "OOOOO" I chimed in. All of a sudden we both rush into a hug and he says, "Finally break up with Connor yet, sis?"

"UUGGHH!!! , " I groan extremely loud, "Does everyone on the planet know!?!"

"No but if you want that arranged....." Bradley trailed off. "No thanks! I'm good. Thanks for the offer," I stuttered slightly. Once Bradley finally leaves, Haley and I go to bed. Popcorn forgotten.

I'm currently sitting in homeroom waiting on Connor. As I'm waiting I'm checking my messages and see I have one from Haley.

Haley: Talk to him ASAP!!!

Me: Ok. I will. Chill.

Just before bell rings he slides into his seat beside me. I look over at him, "Connor. Its time to talk." I tell him.
