I opened up my teary eyelids and sat up staring at the lavender-painted walls of framed paintings and floral wall decor. My eyes were a bit dreary, but my heart was still racing. I clutched my chest tightly and touched the necklace Jamie gave to me as I breathed heavily to slow down the thumbing, as it felt like my heart was about to burst out of my rib cage. The dream felt so real, it felt so tragic. I cried inside of my dream, the tragedy of Jamie's death. I wondered where'd she had gone. "Jamie?" I called out. No answer.
Jamie really did went to Paris, but the explosion part was just an illusion. The telephone rang on the nightstand. I gazed down on the caller ID, Nick. It scared me because I thought it was going to receive the same news that I did in that dream, 'Rachael, Jamie died in a plane explosion'.
I quickly picked up the receiver and pressed the telephone tightly against my left ear. "Nick!" I exclaimed frantically. "What happened to Jamie?! Is she okay?"
"Nothing." Nick sounded nonchalant and freely about it. "Beside, how would I know what happened to her? Did she leave already?"
"Yeah." My hands were still trembling as I tried to control them.
"What's wrong then? Are you drunk or something?"
"No, Nick." I said as irritation rasped in my tone. "I'm not drunk. Why would I be drunk?"
"I don't know." Nick paused for a few seconds, then said, "You sound drunk and beat down."
"I'm just tired."
"Then why did ask me about Jamie if you knew she left?"
I was slightly getting annoyed that he was asking a lot of irrelevant and idiotic questions. At that point, anything would get me annoyed since I was very cranky and edgy. "I was just asking. I just had a bad dream about Jamie."
"What was it?" Nick asked.
I placed my hand on my aching forehead as I tried to gather my thoughts together, although half the dream began to fade away in my memory. "That Jamie got in a plane crash or something like that. I wasn't sure if I was in it or if I heard of it."
"Why would you dream about something like that?"
"I don't know." I snapped at him. "Why won't you go ask my sub-conscience if you would like!"
"Whoa there tiger." Nick chuckled between his calm words. "Looks like someone woke up at the wrong side of the bed."
I felt bad for snapping at him like that. In reality, he really didn't do anything. It just seemed like anything that came out of his mouth sort of bothered me. "I'm sorry, Nick. It's just been a few hours since Jamie left the house and I'm already missing her."
"It's okay. Tell you what, how about you, me, and Riley come and meet at the movie theatres and see a movie or two. Then we just hang around a bit."
I thought about it. I might've as well since I had nothing left to do except just sitting at home all alone. "Sounds like fun. I'll see what happens."
"Great. Well I'll see you soon, Rachael." Nick said.
Nick hanged up before I placed the phone onto the cradle.

I pulled my car to the parking lot of Bow and Tie Movie Theatre. I saw Riley and Nick talking as I approached closer to them. It was a little cloudy , but it was still bright daylight. So the mood was a little bit more cheerful.
"Hey guys."
"Hey." Both Nick and Riley said simultaneously.
"So, you guys are ready?"
