||You Were Everything To Me||

Chapter-20

Living in denial will not change anything and Kudrat was very well known with this fact.

She knew that Arjun and she can never be together as Arjun was Jasmine's. Days metamorphosed into Months and soon Arjun and Jasmine completed their one year in  relationship.

Kudrat entered in the final year of her graduation. She accepted the fact that Arjun and Jasmine love each other and they should live together.

She understood that crying will not get her anything and finally she was getting back to normal. She still used to cry herself to sleep sometimes.

Harsh tried to fetch information regarding any girl in Arjun's life from Kudrat but she remained silent about this issue and said that Arjun never shared anything of this sort with her.

In all these months, Arjun not even once noted her dull and pale face because of sleepless nights and crying.

Kudrat always smiled to herself sadly and said"Koi na. Mainu pta ae oh bot fikar karde ne meri. Bus busy ne apni life ch( Never mind. I know he cares a lot about me. He is just busy in his life)."

Well about Arjun and Jasmine's relationship, they fought hundreds of times and broke up for dozen times in this one year.

Kudrat was the only reason why they were together. Everytime they fought, Kudrat always tried to get them back together.

Kudrat knew what was the pain of not being with the person you love. She was already going through this pain and she didn't want Arjun to go through this again.

But little she knew that love will not be going to leave her this easily. She couldn't get back to normal. And then something happened which changed everything.

"Jasmine. Happy Anniversary baby. Muuuaaahhh." Arjun chipped in a loving tone and kissed her over phone.

"Happy Anniversary to you too my nona baby" Jasmine replied.

" I want to spend whole day with you. Today is a special day. Let us meet"Arjun said her in a hopeful tone.

"Vo vo Arjun actually...."Jasmine stammered.

"What Jasmine? Any problem?"Arjun asked in a stern voice.

"No. I mean today is not possible. Mom is at home. And then my sister want me to tag with her for shopping. Please understand na baby"Jasmine tried to sound cute.

"What? Are you serious ? We met only  four or five times in this one year. I am just asking you for this one day only and you are saying you can't come"Arjun's temperature was rising.

"Arjun. Don't shout. I can also shout. If I am saying I can't come, there must be some reason. "Jasmine replied in same manner.

"Oh yeah. Reason is that you are going for shopping with your sister and can't come to meet me. Yes yes. Who am I ? No one. You live with your sister. No ? She knows about us. You can easily ask her to go someother day for shopping. But no. You are looking for excuses"Arjun was hell angry.

In this one year, he never forced her to meet him. They met  4-5 times and that too when Jasmine wanted to meet him.

What about his wish? She never agreed to meet him whenever he wanted and with time Arjun stopped asking her about meetings.

He was happy this way only. She was in his life. That was enough for him.

But today they completed one year of their togetherness and he really wanted to spend this day with her. But alas, as always she denied.

"I said don't shout Arjun. I am not your slave who will come to meet you whenever you want. I have my life also. Stop behaving like this"Jasmine yelled over phone.

"Oh yeah. Did you ever come to meet me when I wanted to meet you? Seriously ? It was always about you Jasmine. Whenever you want to meet, we meet. What about my wishes? Haan?"Arjun aksed in same tone.

"You can't stop me from going with my sister. I never stopped you when you went to meet Kudrat"Jasmine yelled.

"Don't bring Kudrat in this topic. Just tell me  are you coming or not?"Arjun asked for her final reply.

And the phone call disconnected without her reply. Arjun tried to call her back.

"The number you are trying to reach is currently switched off"He heard computer operator's voice.

He was furious. He was angry. He tried her phone for a few more times and it was still switched off.

He felt like destroying everything around him. Thankfully his parents were not in town and he was alone at home. He was afraid of his anger and He knew that only person can calm him.

He picked his phone and dialed Kudrat's number.

Arjun was continuously  calling Kudrat but she was in her lecture and was not picking his call.

"Aaj ki hoya ae ehna nu !! Es time phone( What have gotten into him today ! He is calling me at this hour )"Kudrat asked herself.

After her lecture, she called him back and he picked up at first ring.

"Where were you?"Arjun asked in a cold tone.

He was already furious because of Jasmine and on the top of that Kudrat was not answering his calls. This thing made him more angry.

"Main lecture ch sigi. Ki gal hogayi? ( I was in the lecture. What happened ? )"Kudrat asked.

"Can we meet ? Right now. " Arjun's voice changed from angry to low.

He was in no mood to fight right now and Kudrat was the last person he wanted to get angry with.

"Right now? Arjun. Are you okay ? What happened ? You are supposed to be with Jasmine. Why you are calling me to meet you at this hour ?" She asked him sensing that something bad had happened.

Mere mention of Jasmine triggered his anger more and his voice raised over the phone.

"Are you coming or not? "He asked.

"Okay. Okay. I am coming.Par tuc ho kithe?(Where are you ?)"She was hell worried for him and continuously praying to God.

"Ghre aaja.( Come home) "He said.

"Ghre?(Home ? ) Acha Okay. I am coming in ten minutes"Kudrat reached to the parking lot and opened her car's door.

Arjun disconnected the call without saying anything.

After 15 minutes, Kudrat reached his home and saw that front door was open. Hall was in very messy condition and pieces of glass, crockery, vases were smiling at her from the floor( sarcasm ).

She searched for him and found him in his room and room too was in the same condition as that of hall.

"Arjun"She called him from the threshold of his room.

Arjun was looking outside the window and turned around immediately as soon as he heard her. His eyes were red. He ran to her and hugged her with such a force that Kudrat was about to fall.

She somehow balanced herself and wrapped her arms around him. She was shocked after seeing him in this condition.

"Ki hoya ae?( What happened ?)"She asked him and tried to pull herself back from the hug so that she could look at his face.

But Arjun didn't reply and tightened his grip over her frame and started sobbing slowly.

He was angry and his anger was pouring out from his eyes.

Something stabbed Kudrat's heart and she closed her eyes in pain. A crying Arjun was the last thing she wanted to witness in her life.

She loved him. A broken Arjun was breaking her more.
