The Text

CHAPTER: 3

Night comes and everyone left, it's just me and Robin now, and I was getting nervous.

She looks up from her phone and looks at me, "Wanna put on another movie or no?"

"Sure" I say and she puts on a scary movie and motions for me to sit next to her.

That's when the cuddling happened and we ended up laying down by the end of the movie. I get up to plug in my phone and I see she texted me.

"Ummm do you want me to read this now?" I ask in a confused tone.

"If you want" she replies, she sounds nervous so I read the text

Ok so tbh, I like you, like you're really

pretty and we are close so umm yeah...

My heart skipped a beat and I froze. I thought she was straight! I look at her and she looks sad. I lay down next to her and we start talking after a very awkward moment.

I say "how long have you liked me?"

"About a month.."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I was too nervous" I look into her eyes.

"me too..." I say in a small voice.

With that she turns so she is on her side facing me and I do the same. We didn't say anything, we just layed there for a while getting lost into each other's eyes; hers are a light blue while mine are a medium blue with yellow specks.

I get a notification on my phone so I look away and then we are both on our phones until she falls asleep. She was adorable, I couldn't help but glance up from my phone every so often to see her look so peaceful.

I wake up and Robin is still sleeping so I go to the mirror to fix my hair and then I went and sat on the chair beside her couch. I put in my earbuds and wait until she wakes up.

"Morning" I hear through my music

I take out an earbud and look at her, "Good morning, sleep well?"

"yeah, you?"

"yeah I guess"

My mom picked me up and I went home thinking about what happened. It almost didn't seem real; and honestly, I was terrified that something bad would happen between us, and I'd lose her as a best friend and as a 'girlfriend'.
