The Silver Kiss

Chapter Two

Sweet girl, wake up and talk to me. Don't be frightened when you do. I am here to protect you always. Thought Emery as he looked down upon this beautiful girls face as she slept. She soon opened her eyes and looked at up at him. He got a little startled and looked away for a brief moment. But soon looked back down on her.

"Um, hi," she said as she started to sit up a little. She noticed the glass of water and reached to take a drink of it.

"Don't drink that, it's not fresh," he said to her as he leaned over her to put his hand barley on her so she'd put the glass back down. She looked at him. "Kiki, we need new water," he said a little loud to get attention of the maid women. She returned within moments with a new glass of ice water.

"I'm so sorry my Lord, I will make sure it'll never happen again," she said as she placed it on the end table and bowed down quickly and walked away and out the room.

"Lord?" Kaiya said to this man that was still leaning over her with one arm on her side and his body sitting on the other.

"No need for you to call me that. She is my servant and has respect for me," he said. "Are you feeling okay?" he said to her and he looked into her eyes. Bluest eyes I have ever seen.

"Yeah, just confused on where I am," she said sitting up a little more. "Who are you?" she asked finally after a few moments of both of them just looking at one another.

"I'm Emery. I found you in the Woodland Park about a week ago covered in blood. So I brought you here to nurse you back to health. To keep you're safe and protected," he said to her as he finally stood up and walked to the window to look outside. He stood very tall. About 7 foot tall.

"Bloody?" Kaiya said looking down at her arms and noticing the bandages. Soon she moved the blankets to look at her legs. She noticed a cut on her thigh that was stapled and stitched shut. When she looked up, she seen Yuki standing near her.

"Do they hurt?" he asked her.

"No. Not really. What happen?" she said as she took the blanket to cover herself back up. Emery sat down on the bed again next to her, facing her. She felt nervous and didn't want to move.

"I am not sure. Like I said, I found you that way. Go ahead and get some rest, we can finish this conversation when you are ready to remember," he said to her as he stood up.

"I am fine. I'm actually hungry to be honest," she said as she stood up out of bed. She took a good four steps and felt dizzy. "I'm going.....to......," she said as she started to pass out. Emery caught her just before she hit the floor.

"Again, please rest, you are not well," he said to her as he placed her back into the bed and covered her back up. She blinked up at him.

"Thank you Emery," she said as she started to doze off. He stood there for a moment, then left her side.

"Kiki, keep an eye on her. If she wakes up, alert me right away," he said to the maid woman as he left the hallway. She bowed down in agreement.

Man: Kaiya what do you want to do? Go shopping or go out to a movie?

Kaiya: Let's do both!

Man: Can't afford both! Pick one you ungrateful little bitch! *Slap*

Kaiya: I guess a movie.

Man:You are so spoiled that you shouldn't even have a choice but since ............ said you get to choose one or the other, that's your choice. If it were up to me, you'd stay locked in the basement and..........

Kaiya: Stop please, I don't want to do this.......... Please stop........

"How long has seen been talking in her sleep Kiki?" Yoshi asked.

"Been about an hour. Some of the time it was whimpers, but I didn't want to wake her and startle her," Kiki said.

"I'll go alert Emery. Keep an eye on her, she might wake up in a panic. Seems like she's dreaming of something that must have happened to her," Yoshi said as he walked out the room.

"Kiki, do you want us to keep an eye on her so you can get some rest before dawn?" Ren and Yoko asked as they entered the room.

"That would be kind of you. Please let the Lord Yuki know, the only words I could make out were stop and that hurts," Kiki said as she dismissed herself.

"Do you think you can read her mind while she's sleeping and dreaming Yoko?" Ren asked.

"No. It's still too fuzzy. Ren watch out!" Yoko said as she caught Kaiya's food that almost kicked Ren in the back of the head.

"STOP!" Kaiya yelled as she awoke from her nightmare. Yoko was still holding her foot. "Let go of my foot," she yelled as she pulled it away from Yoko. She stared at these two girls who were looking at her and then she started to cry not sure what was going on. Soon Emery was in the room.

"Everything okay in here?" he said to Ren as he walked towards Kaiya. He seen she was crying. "What did you do?" he said looking at Yoko with a bitter face.

"She didn't do anything, I just woke up from a bad dream," Kaiya said out loud still hugging her knees.

"Bad dream.... Do you remember this bad dream?" he said to her as he sat down beside side her. She sniffled a little and glanced at him but since she was crying she looked away.

"No really," she said still looking away. "I just remember these men who..... who...." She started to cry more.

"Ren, Yoko, please leave at once," he demanded them. They did as they were told. "Please talk to me," he said to her quietly. He tucked another piece of hair behind her ear. She glanced at him and finally leaned towards him to hug his arm. He was frozen.

"All I know and remember is someone holding me down while this man started to take my clothes off. I kept trying to fight but I'd get smacked and punched and then I woke up," she said still holding his arm tight. He didn't seem to mind.

"Do you remember their names or what they look like? He said to her quietly into her ear. She shook her head no. He signed. "Do you know your name?"

Kaiya looked up at him slowly. "Yes." She said. She wiped her tears and sat back away from him. "Hi, I'm Kaiya," she extender out her hand to shake his trying to be a little cheery.

"Nice to meet your Kaiya. I'm Emery," he said nodding at her and not shaking her hand.

"I know. You told me that earlier," she said to him.

"Do you remember these men?" he asked again. She shook her head no. He started to get up to leave.

"Wait, will you please stay here until I fall back to sleep?" she asked him.

"No. A man should not be in a young girl's room while she sleeps. I however, will be right outside the door for a while," he said to her with his back towards her as he kept walking out.

Kaiya sat there and looked around the dark room. She sat up the whole time, unable to fall asleep without that night mare coming back into play. She watched the sun rise. Within a few moments, she fell back to sleep.

Emery peeked in on her before leaving completely and seen she was sleeping peacefully once again.
