*Hailey's pov*
So we recently moved from Houston Tx, to canyon lake Tx. Finally I'm no longer an ugly slobbery bulldog, I'm a hawk. But it's different from Houston I mean everything is Hawks, not just the schools my brothers youth football. After the first week I moved here I went to go stay a few weeks with my aunt and uncle. My uncle is in the military so I thought since I lived closer to him I would take advantage and stay with them before they moved to Georgia. I got to stay a week longer then my brothers did to help them pack and watch the little kids. So when I got home my brothers were already in football so I decided to go with them to a football practice. Since I was bored and had nothing to do I asked mrs. Johnson if she needed help in the concession stand, she said yes. There was this girl who looked my age named Katie so I started talking to her and she was pretty cool. AND we were both going to the same school as new students. We talked and I was comfortable around her, I felt like I could be myself. I thought we would be good friends. But there's a key word. THOUGHT. y'all will figure out why I say thought later in the book. So I had fun in the co session stand, I got free food that was a big plus! And then there was this boy named Zach. I mean he was okay looking. As time went by though we became closer as friends and I started to like him more. But he had a girlfriend who lived in Ohio. Sad face. Then there was this kid named Seth and I liked him from the first time I seen him, and Katie told me he liked me I just didn't think it was possible, but then I found out he only liked me for my looks and not who I was but I don't blame him. I'm mean to people. Then I met this girl named Kasey. She was shy at first and was hanging out with Katie but honestly I did t want them to become friends so I asked kasey if she wanted to walk around the football field she said yes, turns out we have a lot in common. I mean same music taste, and we're not the squad type like 1 or 2 good friends is really who we keep close. I could tell me and her would be close from the beginning I could just see it.
