Love at first sight

Chapter 1

Growing up in a small town isn't always easy my name is Darcy upward my age is 16 and I'm in high school sadly. Now you probably think okay she a normal teenager that hates high school like everyone and you would be right for some of it. Well in small town where everyone know who you are or who your family is its kinda hard. Then on top of that you have been in love a guy since fifth grade and he your best friend. His name Mark Champ and I know your probably thinking again why is she afraid to tell him well me and him kinda had a fight and is wasn't like a friend it was about his girlfriend. His girlfriend I hate her! Her name Taylor Hartman she the captain of cheer leading team,but I don't get how Mark could fall in love with her! I just don't get! When we were kids we always said we tell each other everything then she comes in the picture and ruins my friendship with Mark! Well she a cheerleader while I'm an athlete I've been one all my life and Mark has support all the way, but Taylor comes in changes that. I know I sound like a bitch or something,but I just love Mark and don't see myself with out him!

Heres the day I've been dreading the first day of sophomore year. Why must you come today. I know that I should be happy I'm sophomore,but in all truth I'm not I just want to talk to Mark,but I can't do that because Taylor always around may god can't she take a break and go somewhere else. I can see why he would go for her she pretty ,has great hair, popular,but anyone does a sport or cheering ,or something for the school is popular in that case. But what still confuses me is why didn't he tell me why he started dating her? In way I think he didn't want to tell me was trying to hide,but then told me in freshmen year too so the idea is out. It's 7:30 and classes are about to start I'm in my home room class and Mark of course we sit by each other in which makes my heart pound. But then walks in Taylor and sits by Mark which I don't mind,but the whole entire time she keep staring at me as to say "I hate you Darcy !" So class start our teacher talks about how during this school year we experience different things throughout the year. Which in my mind I'm like " oh yay I have to deal with more stuff other grade ,sports, and most of all my life just shoot me now!"I never thought I would be where I'm today with everything going on,but ill take it step by step.

Fourth period comes rolling around and I'm in history class oh yay one subject I could really would like to bring a pillow to. But I find out that Mark is in everyone of my classes with me,but Taylor is too. So we're in history class and our teacher tells the same in our home room teacher did with us snooze fest. I've never been this bored in my life,but the bright side I have volleyball practice tonight and I can't wait! I've love sports and usually when I'm doing the sports that I love it usually helps me clear my mind. Finally it last period of the day it's seems like whenever it's the end of the day everything that has happen to you just disappears and everything okay again unless this would happen to you and wait its happening to me. As I walk to my locker I run into Taylor and wait the bad thing is that her locker next to mine! So as I make my way to my locker and as I enter my combination in I realize that she is muttering under breath about me. The words she say are like"your a bitch or a slut who needs to stop being friends with Mark." In my mind I'm saying how can I stop being friends with him I've been friends with since we were kids and didn't start having feelings for him until fifth grade.

As practice rolls around I can't get the words Taylor says out of my mind why would she says things like that what tick her off so much to days things like that? As volleyball practice is over I wait for Mark to come and get me as his car rolls up the alley behind gym he smiles that beautiful smile with the dimples that I fell in love with. As we going down hill he asked"Darcy you hungry?" I reply with a "yes" Then I start to notice that the Mark I knew and loved was coming back to me. So while we were driving in the car I ask Mark about Taylor he said everything was fine he face didn't look like it. I said "what's really wrong Mark." As he replayed with "I heard what she said to you.'" As he said those words I was in compleat shock as if had just ask me to marry him the feeling was the same.
