His eyes are a chocolate brown.
His lips, a dark red.
When I look at him I see myself.
I see myself in a different world.
A world with him.
A world where all my worries can be forgotten.
A world where my life is perfect.
It's also a life that is about to be torn away from me.
Torn away from me because of one stupid mistake.
A small mistake that grew and grew until it overtook my whole life.
When I see him, I cannot think of anything other than our past, our memories.
All the memories I treasured and hoped never to forget.
Now, I feel as though they are being torn away from me.
Every moment I am not with him, I am forgetting.
And so, I will remember.
I will remember every moment I spent looking into his eyes, and every moment I did not.
This is the story about how I learned to love, cherish and forgive.
