When you say my name,
it's not what I hear,
because it's all the same,
just what you hold dear.
When the words begin to stop,
I step out,
and begin to drop,
like a rock, that's moving
faster than light.
As I silently fall,
though the night.
A glimpse of red,
gives me some hope.
I let out my hand,
and you catch it,
my fall beginning to slow.
What's odd,
is that I'm dragging you,
more than you know.
Into the hole,
that's stolen my dreams,
taking much more,
than it seems.
As I find out,
what's happening here,
I finally let go,
and just so you know,
I did this for you,
because I hope that you do get the life that I wanted,
more than anyone knew.
So, when I hit the ground,
and shatter like ice,
I finally realize,
that the fall was nice.
So I lay on the ground,
broken and shattered,
I know that it all,
has finally stopped.
I have fallen.
So I hope that you don't drop,
the way that I did,
and as I close my eyes,
I'm glad I let go.
So you don't have to drop,
the way that I did.
