Prologue

My name is Jack Frost, or at least, that's all I've been told. That's all I've ever been told. Blessed with the gift of ice, but cursed to be alone.

Three-hundred years ago I was awoken by the light of the moon.
I had white hair, blue eyes. And, oh yeah...

I can control the ice and wind.

A short time ago, the Guardians came to me spewing nonsense about how I was to be a Guardian, too. I wanted nothing of it, but, you know how North can be.

So, I became a Guardian. But it was nothing but a title to me. They promised that I would be believed in, and that I could be seen again. But as the years passed, nothing changed.
I roamed the world, bringing snow days and windy nights behind me.

It wasn't until one night when I was passing through a small kingdom known by the name of Arendelle that I finally found a friend.

I ran my staff against the window panes of the cottages and palace grounds. Ice trailed behind, covering the window in frost. It was very late, and the kingdom was fast asleep, or so I thought..

As I flew by the palace, I heard two little girls laughing. I peeked through the window to see what was going on: it wasn't like me to miss out on some fun.

"Do the magic! Do the magic!" A girl with red pigtails exclaimed.

"Ready?" The other girl asked. A snowball formed between her small hands before it catapulted to the ceiling and exploded into a million snowflakes.
I blinked several times in disbelief. Could this child have ice powers too?

They played together for hours until the young one was struck by the other's powers.

I stayed in Arendelle after that night. Not only because I found Anna could see me, but for Elsa. She was losing control of her powers and I thought I could help.

But, stuck in isolation, she feared her strength. I tried to show her the beauty of her powers, yet it made no difference.

I was invisible to her.

And I watched helplessly as she was consumed by fear. Years passed, and Elsa still failed to see me, to believe in me. I would have left if not for Anna.

She was the only friend I had.

Sorry for such a short prologue. For those who read my comics, this was only to get Jack's point of the view out of the way before permanently switching to Third Person.

Thank you for reading!
