Chapter-21

Arjun sobbed in her arms and she was caressing his hair to sooth him.

He was very vulnerable and was sobbing continuously. Kudrat didn't ask him anything.

She knew that Arjun himself will speak up when he want to. At the moment, the only thing Kudrat concerned about was Arjun.

She wanted him to stop crying as his tears were flowing through her eyes and was paining more.

"Sshhhhh.."Kudrat patted his back and pulled her frame away from his hold.

Arjun composed himself as she rubbed his eyes with her thumb. Arjun lifted his eye lashes up.

This was the first time someone was doing this for him. He was a very rough and tough looking person from outside and never showed his this side to anyone. Not to Jasmine, not  to his parents.

Kudrat was the only person who had witnessed him like this, crying like a kid. And her sweet little gesture of rubbing his tears made him feel good.

"Bologe?(Will you speak ?) "She asked him.

Arjun started playing with his fingers and explained her everything about his and Jasmine's fight.

"Tuhanu eh ni c karna chahida(You shouldn't have done this)"Kudrat said.

"Tainu v lagda ae meri galti ae? ( You also think that it is my fault ? )"He asked her.

"Main kadon kehe ke tuhaadi galti ae. Main ta bss ena keha ke cheekhna nahin c chahida ohde te( When did I say that it is your fault ? I only said that you shouldn't have shouted at her.)"Kudrat patted his hand.

"I don't want to talk about her. Can we talk about something else"He said.

"Gal na karan naal gal sulajh ta ni jaandi na( You don't want to talk about it but this will not help in solving this issue)"Kudrat said.

Arjun didn't reply and rested his head on her lap. Kudrat was taken a back at his action but then shooed the thought away as Arjun was not in his normal state and really didn't know what he was doing.

How ironical it was ! The only person she ever loved was crying on her shoulder but for someone else.

"MAIN APNE SABAR KA IS SE BADH KAR AUR KYA DETA SABOOT??

VO MUJH SE LIPAT KAR ROTA RAHA, KISI AUR KE LIYE"

Arjun closed his eyes as he rested his head on her lap. This was so relaxing and soothing.

This place felt like his mother's embrace. Warm and loving. Kudrat kept caressing his hair as he kept talking about random things.

Kudrat was bit relaxed as he was not crying but he was not in his normal state and she knew that.

Arjun turned around in such a way that his face was now facing Kudrat's stomach and his warm breath was tickling Kudrat's skin under her clothes.

He hid his face like a kid in her stomach and wrapped his arms around her stomach.

Kudrat was in daze. She didn't know what she was supposed to do at that moment.

Her body went stiff. Why Arjun was making it hard for her ? She loved him and this proximity was doing weird things to her.

She knew she was not supposed to feel this way but she was helpless. You can't stop your feelings for anyone. Can you ?

Kudrat was already lost in her thoughts when she felt his lips touching her stomach. She tried to look at his face for some expression but it was blank like nothing happened.
