Niall's POV: im running and i seem to be on auto pilot or something.me and the boys are grouped together trying to make it to the gates.i shoot a zom right in the middle of his eyes and he goes down.zayn spins in a blur his sword gives a glint of light and another zom is split in half. we are about 20 yards from the gates but about 50 zoms stand in between us and the gates.Damn.We run into the blob of living dead and fight.i catch glimpses of harry and zayns swords and louis's arrows stuck in the zoms dead at my feet.i fight and run. i am making a path as i shoot zoms down.i hate killing things really i do but i dont have a choice. i would rather quiet them but we dont have time.quieting a zom is when we take a zom out of its misery and hunger by sliding a knife at the back of its neck.shutting off all senses and its also something me and the boys do.we dont slay them or at least try not too.we put them to rest.away from the endless hunger and wandering around in the same spot for years.we only do it for the people who ask us too though not for fun.Even now as i make a path for all of us i almost feel the pain and releif the zoms might be feeling.if they even feel anything."come on Niall" liam screams to me and drags me toward the gates.we burst through them and out in the Ruin.the most overgrown full of the living dead junkyard.we fight our way towards the woods and away from our ruined town.if there are any survivors left then i hope they make it too safety.i catch one last glimpse of the burning town. i know i will never forget the sight of the town on fire and zoms shuffling around the place, just like i will never forget the Black Day.i turn away and keep running.Running away from the only safe place i knew and into the Ruin.
