I got home and changed into my favorite sweatpants and a t-shirt of Liam's. I always liked how his t-shirts were big on me. I miss him a lot. Ever since Meg and him started dating I've been feeling lonely. I really miss my best friends. Speaking about that I need to text Meg and tell her about Cam. I sit on my couch and pull out my phone to text Meg.
Me: Hey Meg, I know it's been awhile but how've you be...
As I was in the midst of sending her the message I hear the elevator to our floor open. When I see that it's Cam I drop my phone on the floor. Shit. I cuss under my breath. He really does knock the wind out of one with that charming look and smile. And did I mention he's wearing glasses.
"Hey beautiful, your buildings really nice." He says smiling brightly at me. He too had a perfect smile. Ugh. Why must he be perfect? I question myself.
"Hey yourself." I say smiling back. I notice he has two coffees in his hand.
"I hope you don't mind, but I got us some Iced Caramel Macchiato." He says making his way toward the table in the main hallway.
"No, I don't mind at all. Come sit." I say gesturing towards the kitchen. "Do you want something to eat?" I add.
"No I'm not hungry right now, but thank you. You look cute all dressed down." He says.
"Aww stop it, you're making me blush." I say cheekily.
Pebbles makes his way into the kitchen and starts to sniff Cam.
"No way you have a Siberian Husky as well? It's a boy right? Hi buddy. You're a big one aren't you." Cam says.
"Wait you have a Husky too?" I ask surprised while sipping my coffee.
"Yeah, he's actually really playful. His name is Jax. I've had him since I was four years old." He says looking up at me now.
"Omg Same. I've also had Pebbles since I was four. How weird is that?" I say smiling.
"It's not weird at all." He says returning the gesture.
The room goes silent and our conversation dies. I hope I'm not, boring him. His eyes meet mine and I finally say something.
"You want to stay in and talk or go visit the city and look all touristy?" I say trying to break some of the silence.
"Ah, I'd love to look all touristy and take a tour of the city, but it's up to you."
"We can go visit the city if you want and like I said earlier I can show you my favorite spot." I say.
"Alright let's go." He says.
"Oh wait I forgot to text my mum that I was home. But I'll let her know I'm going out with a friend." I say grabbing my phone and texting my mum.
Me: Hey mum I'm going out with a friend to CP. I'll be home by 5:30 - 6 being the latest. I'm taking Pebbles. Love you.
Mum: okay sweetie be safe text me when you get there and when you're on your way back. I'm on my way home now. Love you more!
