Hiccup's P.O.V
Falling. .
That's all I remember.
The event keeps flying through my mind. Toothless and I were flying higher and higher into the sky. My security rope suddenly became unhooked and my prosthetic leg came loose from the foot holster. I remember floating then seeing Toothless fly a little above me, only to see shock register in his eyes. Then I realized.
We were falling.
Clouds surrounded us and that sinking feeling of the ground fixing to greet us was sickening. Toothless was too far away for me to reach him and all I could do was close my eyes...
...and hope we survived the impact.
Sammi's P.O.V
Quiet.
The resonating sound of complete peace was soothing to my pounding headache. The composition of music I had to complete for my class final was aggravating. So I escaped to the nearest forest, finding comfort in the quiet and the trees. Kinda like Katniss from my favorite books, The Hunger Games Trilogy.
I looked from each leaf of the trees, seeing the uniqueness in each of them. My eyes traveled to each leaf and branch, letting my imagination create imaginative swirls on the bark of the tree. Standing, I started to walk between the trees, absent mindedly and not looking when my feet took me. Nature had a weird way of putting me in a trance and giving me inspiration. I looked like a weirdo, walking through these woods, conducting to a imaginary band. I closed my eyes, listening to the music in my head which was interrupted when I suddenly felt my foot snag something and I tumbled to the ground. I mentally cursed and slid up on my side, reaching for my ankle that twisted in the fall. I rubbed my ankle and looked up to glare at whatever caused me to fall.
I went cold. My blood ran cold and I physically shivered. What I tripped over was a tail. My eyes traveled up the tail to see that it was connected to a dark, scaled dragon. Wait...DRAGON?!
I scooted on my ass as far away as I could, my back hitting the nearest tree. I was about ten feet away from a dragon. A DRAGON. These creatures were believed to be a myth! I never expected to actually encounter one.
I cautiously rose to my feet and walked over closer to the dragon. I noticed that the dragon was slowly breathing and had its large black wings wrapped around itself. I kneeled down close to its head and slowly reached out, brushing my hand over the side if its cheek. My mind was foggy and unbelieving. I was touching a DRAGON. Suddenly, a low purr came from the dragon, or what I thought was a purr. I looked down and noticed the dragons eyes were open. It's large greenish yellow eyes were in slits, staring at me. I flinched back in surprise and gasped softly. The dragon raised its head and stared at me, it's eyes unwavering. With one quick movement, it's wings opened. I stumbled back and fell on my back out of surprise. I froze, awaiting for pain or anything to happen.
When nothing happened, I rose slightly on my arm, seeing the dragon looking down at something. I rose more and noticed a teenage boy in the arms of the dragon.
"Oh my god..." I quickly rose and went closer to the boy, only for the dragon to growl at me. I raised my hands in defense.
"I- I'm not going to hurt him. I'm just gonna see if he's okay," I told the dragon. Surprisingly, the dragon understood me! It opened its wings more and I went to the boy. I kneeled down and pressed my fingers to the boys neck, not feeling anything. Okay now I started to panic and guessing the dragons reaction, it knew why I was. I slowly laid the boy down on his back and started to give him CPR. No I don't have a license, but I've seen others do it. After about 3 tries, the boy coughed and a soft groan escaped his lips. I sighed, relief flooding over my face, but I couldn't relax. He wasn't out of danger yet.
