Riley recognised the voice that was on the other end of the phone from before she had apparently moved away.It was strangely comforting and charming to her.Mellifluous.The person behind the voice,Charlie,had begun to raise his voice.Even when it was sterner Riley still seemed to like it.Who was this person to her?A sudden memory came back to her.It was one which held an apartment full of love and happiness.It was in an apartment in a different city,maybe the one Riley had lived in at college and there was a rather handsome looking boy with her too.The boy was no where near as handsome as Farkle though.
Memory
"Riles!! Riles!!!Look what I found today."
Charlie came running into the apartment that Riley and him shared with something behind his back.
"Charlie,come on just tell me I need to study for my tests."
Riley was sat on the floor of their small living area with pieces of paper and notes flying everywhere.
"Look what I got.Just look at it,I know you will instantly fall in love with her."
Charlie revealed the thing behind his back.It was a small puppy with the most beautiful brown eyes you ever did see.
"Oh my gosh.Charlie where the hell did you find her.She is gorgeous.Let me hold her."
Riley shot up and ran across the room to where Charlie was.The puppy looked into her eyes and got comfortable in the crook of her arms.
"She's beautiful!"
Riley stared in awe at the puppy.
"Just like you then."
Charlie smiled at Riley whilst she let out a small chuckle.
"Shut up.Such a charmer as always."
Riley rolled her eyes at Charlie and went back to the dog.
"We can keep her if you want to."
At this point Riley was over the moon.She let out a small squeel and nodded eagerly.
"YES!!!We must keep her and name her.Oh my gosh Charlie Thankyou soososososososososo much."
End of memory.
Riley blinked back her tears.The voice seemed familiar to her but nothing came other than that memory.This person must have been special to her though because she didn't have any memories from anyone else.Riley also felt pain.Why did she not feel anything when she saw Maya or Lucas.Or Farkle.She took a deep breathe and prepared herself for her first words with this 'Charlie',the rant that he was on lasted for about 10 minutes.She didn't understand what he was talking about and the only phrases she could comprehend were: you left,where the fuck are you,it has been 4 months and are you there?Who was this person?
One more breath then...
"Hello,You must be Charlie.I need to explain something to you."
