Thalia awoke to a knock on the door.

"It's Cody!"

"Come in." Thalia yelled sleepily. She sat up and opened her eyes wider. She looked around. She wasn't downstairs...she was in her bed. She figured she had slept walk so she pushed it to the back of her mind.

Cody walked in fast, she locked the door behind her.

"What is it?" Thalia asked.

"It's Gina. She's missing," Cody said quickly.

"Gina...Gina Rent?"

"Yes she is missing," Cody said in a worried voice.

That night Cody slept over at Thalia's.

They awoke to a banging on the door. The banging sounded like more that one person. Cody was already awake, rubbing her light brown eyes with her fist.

"Who is it?" Thalia asked.

"I don't know, I'll answer." Cody said. She got up slowly. She unlocked the door and Gina ran in.

"Help me!" She said. She had cuts on her knees under her brown dress.

"Gina what happened?" Thalia asked.

"This man took me a few nights ago. He lead me through bushes to his backyard. He tied me up and took everything in my pockets. We need to catch him!" Gina said quickly. She reached her hands in the pocket of her dress and showed the note.

"What does it say?" Cody asked.

It was illegible, the mud from the backyard was smudged all over. The only word read was his signature.

Russel Sweet

"Who is that?" Thalia asked worriedly.

"I don't know, but he is right there," Gina said. She pointed to the window behind Thalia.

Sure enough, there was a man, smiling. In his left hand a football and in his right hand. A hammer.
