The Gifted

Chapter 1

"Adam! Are you prepared for the case of a lifetime?" Grace runs into the office, and quickly starts to organize her papers. Adam turns in his chair to view her more clearly. He looks her straight in the eyes, and tries his best to figure out what shes thinking. "Your getting closer." Grace says as she smiles at him.

"I haven't even given an answer yet." Adam replys.

"Alright, alright, I'll tell you! We will be working on busting a new gang called The Gifted!" Grace is yelling so loud Adam has to cover his ears.

"Great, a new gang on the streets. Too bad were detectives so this just means more work for us."

"No, these guys have special powers. They're amazing. They can read minds, control water, or fire, or anything really. I don't know which powers they have, but I know its awesome. Come on Adam, are you ready yet??"

"Ready for what?"

"Gosh you're lucky that you're cute, we are going to bust the gang we have been talking about for the past like, five minutes."

"We have not been talking about them for five minutes, and anyways, you don't even know where they are." Adam knows that she doesn't know where they are because she always jumps ahead in things like this, and then he has to slow her down, and remind her of the basics.

"Oh, yeah. Here is a peice of paper with everything we know about them so far, we will just have to do some more research I guess."

"Ok, not my favorite part of the job, but its a must. Lets see what we know so far, "5 of them... male... maybe more we don't know about... robbed a bank... killed 2... hurt 3... shoot 4... called themselfs the gifted... one can control water... one fire... one doesn't forget anything... one can read minds..." We don't really know a whole lot, do we?" Adam is already starting his research as he asks Grace, because he already knows the answer.

"Nope."
