"Darmani! Come here Darmani!" Darmani's Goron mother called. Darmani walked up to her with shining innocent eyes. She lead him into their cave and handed him his favorite rock sirloin. He quickly scoffed it and yawned. He rubbed his eyes and lied down, curled into a ball. His mother, Dauria. Picked up her drums and played the Goron lullaby for her son. The next morning Darmani woke up and rolled off. He wanted time to himself, he was always lonely. Having nearly no friends. He kept rolling until he reached a vast field. He saw a place with lots of sand, and then water. He had never seen so much water before and rolled toward it. He wasn't paying attention and bumped into someone. "Sorry! My name is Darmani. Pardon my asking, but who, and what are you?" The young boy, about Darmani's age, stood up and brushed himself off. "I'm Mikau! And I'm a Zora!" He was rather odd looking. He was blue and had fish fins. And strapped to his back he had a guitar made of fish bones on his back. It was much too big for him, and dragged the floor. They shook hands and Mikau asked "how did you do that rolling thing?" Darmani shrugged and replied "all Gorons can do it. Why do you have that guitar?" "My father gave this to me. I'm going to be the best guitarist ever!" Mikau said and jumped into the ocean. He swam about until he noticed Darmani standing there, amazed. "come in!" Mikau yelled. " But I'm not allowed! I can't swim" Darmani protested. Though it was clear he wanted to. "It's fine!" Mikau sighed. Darmani walked into the ocean. Then tried to swim to Mikau, he swam for a few feet then sank. Mikau thought he was diving and looked, only to find a baffled Darmani holding his breath. Mikau promptly swam down and pulled him to the shore. "I guess you're right... Gorons can't swim." Mikau said sadly. " it's fine! There are lots of other things we can do!" Darmani said cheerfully as he scratched head. "well you know that town over there? Ive always wanted to go there. You know, the one with the big tower?" Mikau explained as raises his hands to emphasize the size of the tower. Darmani nods vigorously and they start walking. When they enter the town they see the tower and run to it. Eyes gleaming in amazement. A group of rowdy boys come and crowd around them. " Ha! Look at the foreigners!" they tease. Mikau stands up tall and says " We are just as welcome here as you!" the boys laugh mockingly. "whatever you say, fish face!" "Mikau... Maybe we should leave. I don't want to cause any trouble". Mikau nods and tries to exit but a guard blocks him. " Excuse me sir, but we need to get out." The guard shakes his head "if you really do live out there, your parents must come get you". The guard says boredly. Mikau straightens up and says " I'll have you know sir, but I am almost ten years old. Im old enough to find my way around"! The guard laughs and says "you still need your parents, Squirt." Mikau sighs and backs up, pulls out his guitar and plays a short tune. It's only six notes long, but they echo through the air and can be heard for miles. Darmani claps as Mikau puts his guitar away, giving it a loving pat. "Excuse me, sir." A gentle voice says as a beautiful Zora walks in from behind him. " Hi Mama..." Mikau says guiltily. "Mikau! What have I told you about leaving the Great Bay!" she says angrily. "But Mama! I made a friend! Mama, meet Darkani!" "Darmani". Darmani corrects him. " hello there, little Goron." she says as she holds out her hands " want us to walk you home?" he nods and grabs one of her hands, Mikau grabbing the other. " Mama! Can we play one of the games"? Mikau asks hopefully.
