Bailey’s POV:

Louis and I found Zayn and Harry. And now we’re heading back to the hotel from the club. We quietly walked through the lobby and into the elevator. We stepped out onto the sixth floor and I began to pull out my room key that I had conveniently stored in my bra (as I didn’t have pockets).

Louis walked me to the door of my room, wanting to make sure I got in safely. “I hope I didn’t ruin your night,” I said, feeling a bit guilty about tonights events.

“You didn’t!” Louis said. “I still had some fun before I found you,” he smirked.

“Louis!” I gasped, punching him in the arm. “Did you get a ‘proper snog’ in at least?” I joked, copying one of his commonly used lines. I had the key in my hand, but I didn’t put it in the unlocker machine, dreading the night to come.

I was sharing a room with Liam and Niall, and Liam was sick, or at least pretending to be. Either way, his illness landed me in the same bed as Niall.

“Not quite. I met one of my old friends at the bar, though,” he said plainly.

“Oh, that’s nice. Is she pretty?” I asked, trying to delay entering the room. I didn’t want the uncomfortableness to begin any sooner than it needed to.

“Yeah, but I don’t like her, not like that anyway,” he sighed. “She’s just like a cousin, or a sister really.”

“Well Lou, I think you need a girlfriend. You deserve one at least,” I thought outloud. ‘At least it’s the truth,’ I thought. Louis was practically an older brother to me, and he was one of the sweetest/funniest guys ever. I’ve been wondering why he was still single for awhile now, but  figured it was the whole fame thing.

“I’d like one,” he admitted, looking down at his TOMS. “I just can’t seem to find the right person,” he sighed, looking back into my eyes. He seemed a little saddened by this, his mouth curling slightly downward.

“You will,” I assured him.

“Yeah, I know.. It’s just hard to watch Liam so happy with Danielle, and even Niall with you.” He was spilling his heart to me this time, and I pulled him in for a hug. “It’s just, the way he looks at you? I just wish I could look at someone like that,” his voice cracked, as he buried his face into my shoulder.

“You will Louis, you will. You just gotta wait for the right person, mkay?” I asked, lifting his head up. “Promi-” I cut myself off, not wanting to ask him to promise anything. “Remember, don’t settle for anything less, got it?”

“Got it,” Louis said, pulling away from me to nod his head.

“Don’t forget, your soulmate is out there Louis,” I laughed, slipping the key into the slot, and cracking the door open.

“Yeeeeah,” Louis said, skipping down the hall toward his room. “Thanks Bailey,” he whispered as loud as he could down the hallway at me.

“No problem,” I smiled as I entered the hotel room. It was dark for the most part, but someone had left a bedside lamp on, allowing me to see. There were two bodies lying on either bed, wrapped up in a layer of sheets and blankets. The closest one to me was clearly Liam, his brown hair sprawled on the pillow, his foot sticking out of of the side of the bed.

On the bed closest to the window was Niall, curled up on his side, facing away from me. I stood there for a bit, watching as he breathed rhythmically. He looked so peaceful, I didn’t want to wake him, but I wasn’t sleeping on the floor either.

Niall’s POV:

I was lying awake on the hotel mattress when I heard voices outside the door of the room. I had a few drinks earlier, but I wasn’t drunk, not as drunk as I would have liked. I would’ve liked to get so drunk that my feelings became numb.
