~Chapter 1 ~
On a quiet day in november a baby was born. Not just any baby but, the princess of the summer court. Her father, King Ron was unaware of the pregnancy. Until the mother presented her to the king. Queen Victoria was furious with her husbands betrayal and executed the birth mother. The King forbid Queen Victoria from bringing harm too the child and from then on the child was raised as princess Alexandria and the rightful heir to the throne.

A warm breeze brushed my face. I sat on the balcony from my room overlooking the whole city. Concentration was plastered across my face. I could feel the summer magic surrounding me swirling in powerful emotions. I reached out with my mind calling it toward me it felt joyful today. That was probably because today was the first day of spring there was to be a party tonight in celebration. The power was getting stronger. Molding the emotion in the air flowers of all colors erupted from the banister winding along until reaching the wall.
"Very good!" Said a sarcastic voice Making me jump. I open my eyes to find my best and only friend Sage the first lieutenant of the king.
"SAGE, what's wrong with you? You scared me to death!"
"Oh I'm sorry princess I didn't mean to hurt your darling heart here let me help you." He snickers and pounces onto my stomach holding me down and tickling with no mercy.
"STOP.... PLEASE....STOP!" I pleaded between breaths and laughter
"Oh no princess you have to beg." He corrected
"PLE-ASE..... I BEG OF YOU!"
" we'll if you insist." HoldIng on a second more. He releases with the sarcasm that makes sage sage . Dismounting me he stood and offers a hand.
"Thanks." I mutter as he pulls me up
"So" he questions "what are you going to wear for the party?"
"Why do you care?"I ask suspiciously
"Oh no reason I just thought you might like to save room on you wrist for this hand made bracelet I found when I went on my trip to the eastern forest. The gremlin wanted a nasty price for it but anything for my Alex." He pulled out a thick leather band with small colorful flowers wrapped around it.
"Oh Sage it's beautiful thank you!"
He wrapped his arms around my shoulders and pulled me close. My face pressed against his chest and i could hear his slow and calm heart beat. Something is wrong this isn't like him. I pulled out slightly and looked up into his bright green eyes and his shaggy light brown hair just above.
"You're leaving me again aren't you?"
"I'm sorry-" he began
"Sage you just got back! You can't leave again."
"I'm sorry I have too there are supposably winter fey causing trouble at the border."
"I don't care why does my father insist he send you out every two days I never see you."
" aww are you going to miss me princess?" He grins and the sage I know returns
" shut up!" I blush of course I'm going to miss him he's my best friend when he's gone it's like functioning without a limb "when are you leaving?"
" first thing in the morning. And don't worry I'll make it back before you're 16th birthday next week."
"Ugh don't remind me."
