I wake up and see him sitting near the writing table with the bright light turned on. I glance to my right and see that the hour hand is at three. I throw my pillow at him shouting "go back to sleep Jaden" and make a face at him in the process. Having to share your room with a brother can be seriously annoying. And I can't imagine what he'd be doing this early. "sorry about the light" he says, turning it off. He then drops down onto the mattress beside mine. "I just really want to go, you know." I turned towards him right when he said that and look at him confused. "It's not safe and you know I'm not going to let you go. Anyways you can't leave me with her, she's horrible!"
"Sterling! Stop freaking out. I'm going to be okay, and you can't call your aunt horrible." His voice gives me the feeling that I should stop, so I turn around and act like the conversation didn't mean much to me, even though I was still constantly thinking about it. I wish I was the elder one sometimes so that he could just listen to me for once. I know he's a good brother and I care for him, that's why I don't want him to do it. I whimper in a hushed tone so that he won't hear. I don't want him to think I'm weak. But then I can't take it anymore and slowly drift off into my sleep which was pestered earlier.
