Manami's POV
It's time. I have to face my responsabilities and take Hideyoshi as my fiancé. It's for the best. As, apparently, the Kosonoy heir, I have to step up and own up. I am the so called princess. Not really but, sort of.
Pfft! Right! I'm temporarily ignoring his ass. I'm training my ass off before I have to go meet with the Hokage. I'm telling him about the chūnin exams. I'm training so that I can save him. My plan is to aid him in battle against Pedo-snake.
Finally after 3 hours of vigorous training, I went home to clean myself up. Once I was satisfied with myself. I headed towards the Hokage building but when I got there, I realized I needed to use the restroom. I ran towards one and slammed the door behind me.
When I was done I flushed the toilet and washed my hands. Then I sprinted to the Hokage's office. "Phew, that was a close one." I said to myself and knocked on the door. I heard a faint but firm "come in" and opened the door.
Inside, was the Hokage surrounded by ANBU and a couple jounin. I shyly approached them. "Good evening Hokage-sama. How are you today sir?" I asked him, politely bowing as well.
The Hokage bowed his head slightly back and smiled kindly at me. "Good evening Manami. I'm well, thank you for asking. What can I help you with?" he asked me.
I smiled back at him. "That's good to hear. Actually, I wish to speak with you privately. Would that be ok? It's a very private matter and I don't wish for anyone else to know about this. If you don't trust me I don't mind one other person staying but, other than that, I just want it to be between us." I told him as firmly yet politely as I could.
The Hokage seemed to be considering what I had asked of him and finally came to a conclusion. "Alright. That is fine. No one will stay. I trust you Manami. You'd be surprised at how highly Shikaku and Shibi speak of you. If I didn't know you weren't from here, I would've mistaken you for one of their children." He said amusedly.
I blushed and looked down smiling. Shikaku-san and Shibi-san were great people. No doubt 2 of my favorite adults. They were so laid back and nice. They really cared for me and that was always nice because I cared for them too.
"Thank you Hokage-sama. I promise to never betray your trust." I told him. The ANBU all left, along with the jounins, which left us alone. Of course there were a couple of them who hesitantly did so but they left anyway.
The Hokage nodded and motioned for me to start talking and I got nervous. What if he doesn't want me to save him? What if he disagrees with my plan because he's afraid to mess with time? I mean, I'd have doubts to do so as well if I'd been told about this situation.
"Well Hokage-sama. I just recently found out about my birth family. My clan." I started. I noticed him staring at me knowingly. I, however, continued. I didn't want none of his sympathy right now.
"I found out that in the Kosonoy clan, we have Kekkei Genkai. It's called the Miraigan. The Miraigan allows us Kosonoy to see a possible future. And I had a vision in which Orochimaru infiltrated the village and killed you causing Konoha to suffer a lot for it but I have a plan. All I need is for your support and approval to execute it." I said.
He seemed at a loss for words, skeptical even, but was considering the new information nonetheless. I waited patiently for his answer. It's not everyday you hear about this situation after all.
After he mulled it over, he came to a conclusion. "Let me hear your plan, the reasoning behind it, and I'll tell you my answer." He concluded.
I nodded in acknowledgement. "Right. So this is my plan."
Hokage's POV
Hmmm... Interesting. It seems she's been thinking this over for ages. I tried pointing out any single flaw I could hear, but she had a back up for everything.
Miraigan is it? I've never heard of that one before. I'll have to read about it later. For now, I suppose I'll just have to go along with this plan of hers. If what she says is true, we'll need all the help we can obtain.
"Alright Manami. You have my approval and support, but if I see the need to interfere with this plan I will." I told her warningly. She nodded politely.
"Of course Hokage-sama. I'm very glad to hear that you'll be on board with my plan. It means a lot." She said, bowing.
I chuckled at her behavior. "Child, rise, I should be thanking you. You're not from around here and yet you possess the will of fire. I'm very proud of you. Thank you. When this is all over, I'll make sure you are acknowledged for your loyalty." I told her. Then, I added, "as a matter of fact, call me grandpa."
Manami's POV
"As a matter of fact, call me Ojī-chan." He said. I teared up. I get to save another innocent soul. And this one, is extra special.
I nodded and smiled at him and put my arms out as if asking permission to hug him. He chuckled and did the same. I ran up to him and hugged him as tight as I could.
"I promise Ojī-chan. I'll try my hardest to change the fate of this world for the better. I will keep trying until my last breath had been taken." I told him.
He hugged me back. "I know child. I know. And I have faith in you." Was what he replied with.
Now all there is left to do, for now, is deal with the clan situation. Cause I'm not marrying Hideyoshi. There's no way in hell.
