[Noah's P.O.V.]

I yawn and sit up in bed, turning my head to the side to glare at my ihome, which is going off with annoying beeps to wake me up. I lean over the side of my bed and press the button to turn it off. Today's the first day of my senior year, and I'm going to a new school. I can feel my tummy churning with a combination of nerves and excitement.

More nerves than excitement, I think. I'm not going to know anybody here at this school and I'm not the best at making friends either. Mainly because people think I'm a freak for wearing 'girl clothes'. I know I'll get weird looks at school today, I just need to remember to keep my head held high.

I move so that I'm sitting on the edge of my bed and rub my eyes. I have a while before I have to leave for school so I get up and take a shower. After my shower I change into the outfit I'm going to wear today.

I pull on a pair of skinny jeans and a white, lacy shirt over a pink tank top. I might have worn a skirt, but I didn't want to be too loud on my first day of school. When I'm finished getting dressed I make my way to the kitchen where I can smell my dad cooking bacon.

"Good morning." I greet him and walk around the counter to give him a sideways hug. He returns it and smiles at me.

"Morning, Noah." He replies after he has let me go and ruffles my hair. I groan and push his hand away.

I bat my eyelashes at him and give him a smile. "Is that bacon for me, daddy?" I ask in an overly sweet voice.

He rolls his eyes and takes a plate out of the cabinet, putting a couple slices of bacon on it.

"Thanks, daddy." I say, smiling.

"You're welcome. There's some yogurt in the fridge." He comments and puts the pan he used to cook the bacon in the sink.

"Okay, Noah, I'm off to work. If anything happens at school call me!" He says sternly, looking me in the eyes.

"I will." I breathe out, feeling nervous and queasy. My dad kisses me on the forehead  and tells me he loves me before leaving for work.

I glance at the clock on the living room wall and see that I have a couple of minutes before I have to leave, and run back to my room.

I grab my small makeup bag and walk into the bathroom connected to my room.  I open the bag and pull out some eyeliner and mascara, applying a small amount of both.

I look in the mirror and smile at my reflection. The eyeliner really makes my green eyes pop, and the mascara make my eyelashes look so long and pretty. Before I leave the bathroom I put a small coat of clear lipgloss on my lips.

When my dad offered to take me to school and walk me to the office I should have said yes. First of all, I don't know where the office is. Second of all, people are staring and, sure, I'm kinda used to it, but this is a new school with new people. It's different. I don't know how these people are going to react. Speaking of react, it looks like someone is walking towards me.
