Chapter 2: Barney's story

After Sky finished his story Barney couldn't help but tear up. It had felt weird tearing up with only one functional eye, it would take awhile for Barney to get use to it.
"Dude come on don't cry" Sky said while comforting Barney.
"Sorrys dirt, It's just so sad." Barney sad with tears in his eye. As Barney wipes away the tears Sky says, "So what's your story? Why are you out so late?" This took Barney by surprise he was used to being in the crowd, not talking about himself much.
"Wells you see I'm a dinosaurs. And wells I grows up here in dinastans, with my parents and brother. But my brother left awhiles ago for "college" or sos he says." Barney looked down sadly knowing why his brother really left.
"I don't think your telling the truth...." Sky started but stopped noticing Barney not looking as though he wants to talk about his brother.
"Anys ways dirt, my moms and dads kindas give me up after my brother left. They always looked to him As a heros but when's they sees me they sees disappointments." Barney started to tear up again. "I means my parents  never evens acknowledgings me. I just gots used to being in the shadows." Barney looked down as if not wanting to talk for a little then looked at Sky. Sky was facing forward with one single tear down his cheek. The air between them was dead for a few minutes with only the sound of a clock ticking. Barney decided to carry on with his story to break the silence. "But you know what? I carried on and I'm here todays and I've dedicated my life to protecting my city." He gave a pity laugh. "Although some people may not deserve my protection I'm happy to help." As Barney said that he gave a small smile.
"Wow, you seem very important." Sky said still looking forward with a few more tears. "Not really....." Barney said slowly. "I'm undercover mostly. Most people don't notice me, which is how I like it." He gave a small smile.
"Ha, yeah I've never been noticed ever...." Sky said looking down slowly. "Well I bet..." Barney started but stopped when they heard a noise from outside the apartment. "What was that?" Sky asked Barney. Barney just shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't knows no ones is up but us." Barney said nervously. As the noise came closer it started to sound like footsteps, then suction cups, then they stopped. At that moment Sky knew who it was.... Or what it was.
