Note: Gotta apologize. I feel like I haven't really had the boys in as much this time as the first book.

Oh and this is a really raw chappie. I might go back and take it out completely or just edit I'm jot sure.

Hours passed until an entire day and 2 nights had done the same.

When that day came-2 days after Sang was informed of the petition to remove her as a 1-- it brought with it dark clouds as ominous as the ghostly wail of the wind.

- Little sleep had come to her over the past couple of nights. She'd spent some of her time up with her youngest sibling-Kane-since she easily recognized the signs of nightmares. He'd wake up, and move into the hallway, and simply sit there staring at the wall or playing with his still unfinished pop up book.

The first time she saw him, Sang admitted that she'd left him to his own devices. The second time, though, she couldn't. And since then, she'd taken to sitting with him.

Talking to him even though he rarely ever spoke back. He was traumatized if she'd ever known the definition of the word.

- To add to this new factor, Marissa was walking around pretending to be cheerful when-in the one moment she'd cornered Sang-she'd shown her true colors. Threatening Sang in her own kitchen, that if she didn't shape up, she'd ship her out. Sang had boldly told her she was going nowhere. Since then, Sang had felt a gaze on her-a gaze filled with rage and malicious intent, yet Marisa made no moves.

Sang knew that she was in the eye of the storm.

- Another addition? Daddy dearest was home.

Brought home from the hospital just the evening of the day before, he was relegated to his bed most of the time but still came to the dinner table at 6 pm. Marisa made them all dress for the occasion and would feed them her 'award winning casseroles.' Michael would joke of how the only awards they won were from their old neighborhood, so they didn't count here.

- Marisa would bemoan her new living situation as she'd been shut out by that Erica Lee woman. Apparently, Erica Lee said she was happy to meet Marisa and Kane that fateful day. Yet, according to Marisa, if she was, she'd have invited them to meet the rest of the neighborhood by now. So, still according to Marisa, Erica must have hated her, or be jealous of her or something. So now they were at war (in Marisa's mind).

- Wil had finally been returned his phone from that cow, Kayli. He informed Sang that he would be at school after the break regardless of what Kayli said.

She wouldn't budge on him returning tomorrow, Wil said, because it would be the very last day before they were out for 2 weeks for Christmas break anyway. Kayli didn't see a reason for him to go in on the last day.

Apparently, Sang would only get him hurt again.

For Sang herself, the break would be nothing such. 2 weeks without school meant 2 weeks with Marisa, her dad, and 3 new siblings.

- Marisa was already planning their "girls' day."

And her dad was 'so excited his girls were getting along so well.'

When Sang informed Wil of that impending doom, he told her he'd help her out. She wasn't sure just yet how he planned to do that, but she hoped it was something that would keep Marisa out of her hair for the entire break.

- Bryan wasn't answering his phone. Sang kept telling herself that he was just busy with schoolwork, but even she didn't believe it. He'd always been able to return her call at least once. This time, there was no reply to her texts, emails, calls, or Skype requests.

- She felt adrift. Home alone in every way that counts. School without Wil. Her followers had begun to actually come to her face to face when they needed her as she couldn't keep up with all the texts. People were texting her every minute it seemed, and Sang wondered how Wil differentiated who actually needed her help and who didn't.

On a normal day-with Wil at her side-Sang would get maybe 3 real help requests. On a day like she'd been having without Wil at her side, she got over 100. Her classes were pretty much nonexistent. She couldn't remember the last time she actually went to class and sat through the entire thing.

- Some of the teachers had been acting suspiciously as well. But without Wil she couldn't focus enough to try and figure out what it was.

Some of them eyed her when she was in class. Some watched her closely in the halls. Hendricks had been seen more than once in the same vicinity as Rocky and/or Greg by one or more of her followers, yet she hadn't had the time to try and figure out what they may be up to.

- Even the boys paid more attention to her, seemingly unable to not show their concern. On the day of the fire alarm, they had shown up to the cafeteria-all 9 of them-along with Mr. Kade, Mr. DeSoto, Mr. Saxon and Mr. Lichten. Misters Saxon and Lichten had both given her weird knowing looks and assured her that her missing their classes would be alright as long as she made up the work soon.

By the time all of the others had signed the log and the injured had been tended to by Dr. Green, there was only she and he left in the room.

She had no idea where the others had gone, though in all honesty, they had probably just thought she'd not want to be around them anymore.

Dr. Green had begun to flirt with her but checked his phone when it vibrated and had to settle for walking her to Tony. He whispered something to himself about "family rules being the death of him," but didn't care to explain. She'd felt oddly disappointed as she watched his back retreat into the school building and that pain inside of her chest had intensified as she pulled out of the parking lot.

- Sang had not seen either Greg or Rocky, and the 1s meeting she said they would need had not occurred.

Today, Sang made up her mind that something would be done. She couldn't let herself and her followers fall apart simply because Wil was not at her side.

It may be because she knew she still wouldn't have him with her tomorrow, but she had a new confidence. She knew she could keep it together even without her best friend. Even with the rest of her life going downhill, she could be a 1. And she could be a darned good one.

Today in school, she'd fix it all.

Everything would go back to normal.

But the universe had something incredibly different in store for Sang Sorenson. That day wouldn't be just the last day before Christmas break, it would be a day of secrets revealed, and just how many of those can one girl take?
