Chapter 23

I looked at myself in the mirror as I washed the blood of my hands. Today I would finally would get Riley and Alice back, if it all when well. Who was I kidding, I knew for a fact that this was going to work, my men were the best of the best and was nothing was standing in my ways. I entered the board room ready to bring my men on the plan.

"Ok men it's time for us to get riley back," I said . I heard a chorus of yes boss. 

"We will be broken into 3 teams, alpha will be led by yours truly. We will be storming the house from the front. This team's main focus is to find Riley," I gritted my teeth, "Beta will be led by Elijah, he and his team will storm the house from the back. This team's main focus is retrieving Alice. Both Alpha and Beta will consisted of those who specializes in hand to hand combat and lose range firearms which leaves me one more team, Charlie. Charlie will be led by Katerina," I pointed, "They will be our eyes in the sky this team will consist of those who specializes in long range firearms, aka snipers, will shoot down on those that manage to escape the vicinity," I pounded on the table, "Now all of us will be equipped with a headpiece to serve as communication. This one variable is the most important piece on this chessboard, this piece is the very Foundation of our plan. Under no means, will any of us take it off," I boomed, "We leave at dusk, now go ready yourself, meeting dismissed," everyone stood up and began walking out the room. At any cost, I was determined to get Riley back.

Dusk was arriving and all my men waited in front of me. There was nothing that need to be said my orders were absolute, they knew the risks as we began our attack on the base that stood in front of us. I screwed on my silencer and took off my safety as we begin the charge. The snipers had already taken out the two guards at the front so you just walked right in still cautious of course you can never be too careful. It had been a couple of minutes since we infiltrated Owen's space and it was silent too silent. We had come to a set of double black doors and behind those doors was what we came for.

Riley set their disheveled in the middle of the bed tied up. He kept shaking his hair repeatedly as if a warning. I know this has been too easy, Nothing in life came this easy so why was this be any different. Then the bloodbath began. You could hear the faint rolling of an object that stopped in the center of the room looking down I relies that it was a bomb this is not looking good.

" Flash Bomb, everyone shield your eyes," I yelled. But it was too late the momentary blindness with just enough time for them to start raining bullet.

"Riley get under the bed," I ordered as bullets flew everywhere and he didn't make it in time him. He let out a blood-curdling scream as blood began to pour from his arm.I cursed at the side of Riley falling onto the floor with the enemy approaching him.

"William help me,"he cried out urgently.

The guy blocking my way had to be stupid who brings a knife to a gunfight? It was futile, yet the dumbfuck, he still charged at me head on. My bullet ripped right through the man's throat and he instantly fell to the floor as he choked on his own blood. Bit off more than he could chew and now he's paying the price I thought. I quickly ran over to Riley he was pale and a little shaken but otherwise okay.I checked his arm and thanks the lord that it was only a flesh wound.

"William I was so scared I- i'm sorry I didn't mean it when I said I hated you I'm sorry... I'm sorry," he whimpered repeatedly in my arms.

"It's okay love, everything's going to be fine. You're safe, I'm here," I assured him by kissing his forehead.

Walking out of the room I relayed the good new to my men.

"Beta the package has been received the package has been received," I spoken to the device, "Beta how is it looking on your end?" I asked with a hint of concern in my voice. I waited and waited but there was only static. 

Something wasn't right....

Ok guys one more chapter to go before we will be saying good by to William and Riley for a little while.  Sad I know but its not forever, they will be staring in the next book to the series but they  won't be the main characters.
