I slowly sit down next to her on her grey sheets. My mother's blonde hair was up in a bun and she had huge bags under her grey eyes.

Her eyes held guilt and worry.

"Ember, before you were born... I was a were horse. I was able to shift into Marina who was a white Mustang. Your father is a...well a vampire. There very rare and I know this must be really hard for you." My mother said. Her voice was full of worry. Her wrinkles across her forhead deepens as she explains everything.

What in the world?
People don't shift into anything?!?
I thought my fucking father was dead.

"Vampires, werewolves, witches, warlocks, unicorns, dragons, and faires all exist. What's really rare is finding shifters that don't change into any dogs, but other extraordinary creatures. I'm not sure what you are just yet. Your only 15. You'll shift after your 16th birthday. When the time is right." She said with a hint of what looks to be interest in her eyes.

"I went to this school when I was fourteen. It's called Were Don Prep. It's for all mythical creatures, but mainly for shifters. I met your father there. He was sweet, kind, and a romantic. He and I didn't find our mates when we met so we mated each other. Mates are like a solid mate. You will meet your mate soon. Your birthday is next month so I need you to attend this school." She said.

Mom didn't talk about dad alot. I've never met him, because he left when I was 3.

I walked to my room and turned on the light. My room was just red and white. I started to pack my clothes and other items.

I packed my hats, binnies, socks, gloves, and my only spare glasses in one bag. I wear glasses, did I forget to mention that, sorry. Ya, my glasses are black and rectangular.

I packed my jeans, huge shirts, sweat pants, sweaters, jackets, and undergarment from Victoria Secret in another bag.

I packed my books, video games, movies, knives, laptop, and camera in another.

My last bag I put jewelry, shoes, journals, make up, brushes, contacts, nail polish, and ear phones in it.

I quickly grabbed my purse and shoved my wallet, I grabbed the black small box that held the only thing I had if my dads. He had given it to my mother to give to me. It was a ring that was made out of light lagoon jems called cresints. The ring had my name ingraved into it.

I brought all my bags to my moms black mini van. I ran back inside to get ready. I brushed my hair that stopped at mid back. I put thin eye liner wings around my eyes and put on vanilla cupcake chapstick.

I put on a black T-shirt, blue ripped jeans, white botton jacket, red velvet gloves, black slip in shoes, and a red scarf that u double looped around my neck. I made sure that my outfit looked decent then headed out.

My mom was driving. She wore a red T-shirt and jeans. Her hair was still up in a bun.

"Mom? What happened to Marina?" I asked. I was very curious to know what happened to make her loose her other half.

"Well...*sigh* When you Mate with someone your animal becomes attached to that person... And if something were to happen to that person then your animal would fade away... Well your father found his mate when you were two. I understood that he wanted to be with her. She was the one he was meant to have... *sigh* Unfortunately I lost Marina and I never found my mate. Your father never came back after he left..." She said. She was tearing up.
