Chapter 5

Audrey's POV

I ran through the forest jumping over logs and dogging trees as I looked for a high tree to hide at. Why does Ian still want me dead I haven't done anything to him? The boy I swore to be in love with wants me dead.

He's no good or you; you have a guy that loves you back but your pushing him away

Leave me alone snow

I cut her off and ran harder finding an old oak tree by a small lake. Slowing down I bent over trying to catch my breath (Doesn't work have to stand straight... Oh you don't care okay back to Audrey). Looking around at the woods I saw the lake glistening from the moon.

It was around 8 now and I needed to sleep. I would set up everything tomorrow I can't think straight right now. Climbing the tree I settled myself on a branch and looked at the stars. Closing my eyes I felt myself drift to sleep.

I woke up and the sound of birds told me it was morning. Sitting up slowly I stretched and yawned loudly. I made the stupid mistake of stretching my legs and arms at the same time and felt myself slowing falling backwards.

"No no shit" I fell off the branch backwards and landed on my back. "Owwwwwwwwwww" I whined looking up and the branch.

I got up slowly walking to the lake. I stared at my reflection for a while as I bent down to get a drink I heard a branch snap from a couple yards away. I hid behind a tree and smelled the air.

The person wasn't human the heartbeat was to fast but they had no smell. As the person grew closer all they sound seemed to stop. The heartbeat was gone I could no longer hear their footsteps it's as if the disappeared into thin air.

I stepped out from behind the tree and looked at the area where the person was coming from. The forest seemed silent except for my breath and I dear running a couple miles away. I wonder why I didn't hear the steps earlier and now I hear nothing at all.

I started to turn around put I was grabbed from behind and a hand wrapped around my mouth. I didn't scream because the tingles that shot through my body and the smell that filled my nose was no doubt my mate.

"You found me" I sighed as he took his hand off my mouth. "I did it was quiet hard but the three pack mates found dead in the street last night brought me right to here" he seemed upset and I sighed.

"Some pack mates who called me a bitch and were sent to kill me" I snapped trying to turn by his arms held me tightly. "What" he growled "no one sent anyone to kill you" he was angry but confused and I don't blame him.

"It's a long story" I sighed leaning back into his arms without my consent. "We have time" he said the anger still apparent in his voice. He led me over to the lake sitting down on the side.

"I had this old boyfriend named Ian Pierce and I would have sworn on my life he was my mate" I went on to tell him the story with his crazy mate and the eventful night before ending my long story with a sigh. "That little prick! He's the reason you wont even consider being my mate he broke your heart and then tried to have you killed! How has no one found him he needs to die I'll kill him myself-" I cut off Tyler's ranting by placing my hand on his shoulder.

                 

"Audrey you have to know I would never do that to you, you have to know that" his gaze searched my eyes as he took my hands in his. "I know I just cant, I don't even know you Tyler I'm only 16, well 17 in 2 weeks but how can I be in love this young and how could I be I be in love with someone I don't even know" I sighed looking away from him.

"So get to know me! You keep pushing me away and won't even let me try-" he shot back until I cut him off. "It's going to fast Tyler you want me to jump in to being in love when I can't get over that asshole no matter how hard I try. I was getting over him I was the horrible dreams of me being chased by those wolves and last night they all came back an I can't handle it anymore" I found myself yelling as I stood up and paced back and forth.
