NIALL'S POV
"Lanes, ca- can we talk for a bit?" I ask, still sitting on the ground.
"Uhhh sure. Didnt we just talk tho?" She asks as I get up.
"Yeah, but I needa tell you something..."
"Oh uh ok." She says. I take her hand cautiously, and lead her down the long hallway to my room.
"Niall I don't kno-"
"Things needa be different for us, if we're going to be living for each other for an entire tour." I blurt out.
"And by different you mean..." She asks.
"Well, we can't ignore that we've went out and loved eachother once, maybe even we still do, but I really don't want it to be awkward between us." I say, pacing.
"Yeah I totally agree, I-"
"I think we need some time away from eachother." I get out, regretting it.
"What? Niall, we're not even dating..." She says looking confused.
"Yeah I know, I mean, I think we shouldn't even be on friend-basis." I tell her.
"Uhh, um ok. I-I need to go, sorry..." She says rushing out of the room.
I thought that's what she wanted? For everything to be ok again?
What did Lou just tell me?
LOUIS' POV
"Hey Lanes, what's goo-"
"Are you serious!? You went and told him I wanted everything to be 'ok' again didn't you? Well I hope you're very happy because he just told me he doesn't want to even be my friend again. Yeah know, now I know who I can trust. Louis, I loved that kid, but I didn't want to start over, because I didn't want this whole thing to happen again. I wanted to see how everything played out before I said anything, so thanks Lou, you did the job for me. You're a true friend." Laney yells to me. She was crying and at the same time being sarcastic at the end.
"Laney, all I was trying to do was hel-"
"Help. Yeah I know. But just for once, could you please let me do it on my own and not get in between Niall and I? But you don't have to worry about that, because we're not even talking." She yells at me and walks right down the hall.
All I wanted to do was help.
