Maurice was wiping the last of the goo off of his shoe when he heard the sound of a cabinet door slam shut behind him. He turned around to see Milosh climbing down from the countertop.

"Is safe to come out? Is demon man gone?"

"Just about," Maurice said as he honed in on one final spot. He gave it a solid rub and deemed his shoes to be completely demon free. "That looks like it took care of it."

"Is friend Lothar okay?" Milosh asked. "Demon man rough him up lots. Milosh see it from hiding spot in cabinet."

"I don't know," Maurice said. "Let's go check on him. It looks like he's still breathing. That's good. I'm no medical expert though. Hello? Mr. Lothar, sir? Are you okay?"

Lothar blinked his eyes and let out a groan. "What happened? I was almost finished with the door and then I thought I saw the Warlord burst into the room. But that couldn't be. If he had, then surely I'd be dead now. I must be having some hallucinations from working too hard."

"That was no hallucination," Maurice said. "The Warlord really was here. But he's gone now. I managed to get rid of him."

"Now that's the sign of a good assistant," Lothar said as he stood back up. "Remind me to give you a raise later. So let's see, where was I? Oh, yes, the trap door is nearly finished. Did Dr. Octavius ever return with that duct tape I asked for?"

"I haven't seen him," Maurice shrugged. "But I did just see some duct tape around here somewhere. Oh yeah. There it is on the shelf."

"Perfect," Lothar said as he rubbed his hands together. "I just need one little square of it to patch up this spot right here. And there we go. One invisible door that leads straight to the middle of a gigantic super extremely hot star. Whatever you do, don't go through this thing."

"Not to interrupt, but bad guys just brought even bigger giant laser to Ingleblott," Milosh said. "Friends in big trouble."

"All right, then let's get this show on the road," Lothar said. "Maurice, you're going to need to deliver the payload to Ingleblott. I've taken the liberty of installing a small flashing light so you won't lose track of the invisible door. Make sure you turn it off before you put the door in place, or it'll defeat the purpose of making the door invisible. You're also going to need to take the 'Z' door with you so that you'll have a pathway to this Zyvax fellow. This door right here will take you straight to Ingleblott. I certainly hope I don't need to tell you to hurry."

"Yes, sir. Right away, sir."

"And Maurice? Good luck."

Zeke couldn't help but notice that this new giant laser seemed to be warming up at a much faster rate than the previous laser had. There also seemed to be at least twice as many enemy fighters flying around than there had been the first time. All in all, this situation didn't appear very promising.

Suddenly a doorway appeared in the air behind him and Maurice jumped out of it. "Hi, honey," he said as he gave Sarah a quick kiss on the lips. "The trap door's all ready to go. I also brought the 'Z' door so you guys can proceed with the plan whenever you're ready." He unfolded the door with the 'Z' mark and handed it to Sarah.

"Who's going to put the trap door into place?" Sarah asked.

"I'll ask Trey," Sadie said. "He's already saved the day and he'd be the perfect person to save us all yet again."
