Chapter 19

When kai parked the car in front of a boat , my jaw drop. Omg he can't be serious .The Boat Was 3 story , painted gold and white with nice crystal lights inside giving it a heavenly look. "Are you serious ?" I voiced my thoughts. He smiled sweetly at me and gesturing me to follow .I pulled him back and intertwined our fingers. I Know kai is not used to people showing him compassion but thats why I'm here to show him it cause he deserves it. We walked inside where a man dressed in a nice black well ironed suit greeted us " Goodnight Boss " . Boss does this mean that kai owns this goddamn boat.
"Goodnight , Tell the captain that we'll like a tour " Kai's said . "Is that all sir " He asked fear bright in his eyes .
"Yes Thats  all thank you , You may leave now" Kai said in a harsh tone and turned away.

"What was that about ?" I asked afraid of kai's new attitude .

Rubbing his temples he turned to face me " That's the way you have to be around here tuff don't show any emotions demand everything "
I understand what he means being the leader of a gang people expect you to be cold and dangerous instead of making him feel bad i wrapped my arms tightly around him and whispered in his ears " I love it when you're dark and dangerous .

"Oh really " He said pulling me closer to his body and grabbed my ass.

"Oh yes " I cooed nibbling on his earlobe causing him to moan softly. "Lets save this for later "

We sat outside watching the city lights pass by they looked so beautiful and the way the water songs puts me at ease . It was like Am free out here to do as i please but I know when this night is over Ill have to face tomorrow .
"What are you thinking about " Kai asked, bringing me out of my thoughts, i decided to not tell him i didnt wanted to spoil this beautiful night .
"Nothing " I simply said and turned back to face the lights.

Music started to play from the music system in the boat an kai approached me , gently taking my hands in his he pulled me up and wrapped his arms around my waist , I placed my hands around his neck and rest my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat . We danced moving in timing with the beat of the song ,his heartbeat helped relaxed me , he twirled me around causing me to giggle.

"Wanna make it look more elegant " I asked .

"sure"

"Okay kneel and open your arms to ketch me " I don't know why i trusted kai to do this move with him but all i was thinking at that moment is to have fun . I Leaped into his arms and he gracefully raised me up spinning slowly with me . He gently rest me on the floor looking into my eyes with his dark brown orbs ,leaning in he kissed me releasing all of his emotions into it. When he pulled away i couldn't help it but to smile. 

"Excuse me sir . " the man from earlier addressed kai , who looked annoyed by the disturbance . " You're father would like to speak with you "

kai's whole body tensed up at his father's name and all emotions faded from his face . He asked the man too keep a close eye on me before he left . 
"You know I've never seen him smile so brightly before " He said giving me a thankful look.

"Well that's what I'm here for . I am Victoria " I held out my hands which he took quickly and shake.

"I'm Eric and I know who you are the boss talks non stop about you " He teased wriggling his eyebrows making me laugh at his silliness.

"Why does his father give him such a hard time ?" I asked looking at the door that kai entered .

Sighing deeply eric shook his head " I Don't know " just by the way he spoke I know its heartbreaking  for him to watch kai's father torture him into doing stuff he doesn't want to do . " Since he was small his father would not let him enjoy being a child he would rather have him home loading guns and learning how to aim at his enemies properly. You could see it in his eyes that he would rather be outside at the park playing with kids his own age but he dare not ask . I used to sneak him outside when his dad use to go on business trips for the weeks, he was so famous with the girls." Eric smiled as he took a trip back down to memory lane " But as he got older you could see that he wasn't happy and he didn't like the life that he was destined to live. Until one day he came home with his knuckles bruised up , I remember asking him why and he scowled at me and went up to his room. It wasn't until days later that i found out he damaged a kid's nose for bullying this girl name vicky. It was the first time I Ever heard he defended someone i was pretty proud but his father wasn't . "

"Wait vicky ?" I asked dumbfound . Of course its me i remember that morning after jevan bullied me on the basketball court and broke my hand , he came to school with a broken nose and a black eye . I thought his dad beat him I Would've never thought it was quiet kai. Smiling at the thought i told eric to carry on with the story . 

"And as for his punishment he made kai practice everyday for  4 months straight , day by day he grew more dangerous taking out does dummies lightening fast . Never seen someone so light on they feet is like he was in a trance . Have you ever seen him in action ? " He asked raising his eyebrows.

Shaking my head he smiled " Don't worry you might see it soon ." The slamming off a door interrupted us "Well I Should get going it was nice talking to you vicky" He winked at me and walked back inside . He knew it was me all along didn't he . 

Kai came back except this time he didn't look like the  kai I knew , He looked totally different . I wanted to ask him so badly what went on inside of there that changed his mood but I Protested against and just let him be . We just sat there in silence and big space between us which i closed . Taking his hands in mines I leaned on his shoulders and whispered "It's Okay Am here ."
He Kissed my forehead and said "You're the only thing keeping me sane " and we watched the lights together as the boat carried us back to the docks .  We are not perfect but two broken people trying to fix one another can turn out to a magnificent thing .
