Pups of Blue and Red

Just A Normal Day

It was just a normal day in Adventure Bay for the PAW Patrol.There was no problems today, so the pups all decided to play tag.Well, five of them at least.Marshall was just relaxing and taking a nap near a tree.Skye happen to take notice.

"Hey Chase." Skye said.

"What's up Skye?" Chase said.

"How come Marshall isn't playing with us?He's missing out on the fun." Skye said.

Chase then looked over where his friend was.

"Hmm....it looks like he has something on his mind or he's just tired." Chase said.

"I wonder if he's ok." Skye said.

"I'm his best friend.I should check with him." Chase said.

"Okay.Don't keep me waiting." Skye said with a wink making Chase react with a blush.

So Chase walked over to see his spotted friend.

"Hey there Marshall." Chase said waking him up.

"Oh.Hey Chase." Said Marshall smiling."I'm just relaxing."

"Mind if I join?" Chase asked.

"Sure." Marshall responded.

So Chase sat side by side with his friend.

"It feels like the two of us haven't hung out for a while." Marshall said.

"What.We hang out all the time." Chase said.

"Not as much since you and Skye are a couple now." Marshall said.

"Even so, we're still friends.Best friends.You know that right?" Chase said.

"I know and I'm happy for both you and Skye." Marshall said."But still..."

Marshall then started to look a little down and Chase notice.

"Hey Marshall?Isn't there any special pup that you like?" Chase asked.

"Whaaat?" Marshall said blushing a bit. "No. No. No.There is absolutely no pup that I have a crush on." Marshall said as if was trying to hide something.

As he talked, he didn't happen to notice another pup coming his way.A little certain husky girl.It was Everest.

"Hey Marshall.Hey Chase." Everest said.

"OH.Everest!" said an excited Marshall as he wagged his tail."What are you doing here?"

"The other pups invited me to ask if I wanted to play.So I said yes." Everest said.

"Great!" Marshall said. He also takes out a small brown bag."I got you some dog treats I was going to give you later.Liver flavor, because it's your favorite."

"Thanks!" Everest said smiling."Ok I'm gonna go join the other pups."

"Ok!" Marshall said.

As Everest walks past, Marshall gives a bit of a love struck stare which Chase notices admittedly.When Marshall turns his head back to Chase, Chase gives him a big smirk.

"Ho ho!So it's Everest!" Chase said smirking some more.

"WHAT?NO!SHE'S...JUST A FRIEND." Marshall says with a face as red as his fire truck.

"Don't try to hide it." Chase said."I saw the way you looked at her."

"I'm telling you, she's just a friend." Marshall tried to denied, but his face was still red.

"So you just "happened" to have liver flavored dog treats, which just "happens" to be Everest's favorite.Come on.You know you can tell me." Chase said hoping his friend would tell him.

"Fine.Maybe I like her a tiny bit" Marshall admitted.

"A tiny bit?"

"Ok.A lot.Don't tell anyone."

"Don't worry your secret is safe with me."

"Thanks!Thats why we're best friends."

"Hehehe, yeah."

The two continued to watch the other pups play as they lay next to the tree.

"Hey Chase?Remember when we first met?" Marshall said.

"Of course.I remember it as clear as day." Chase said.

"I remember it as if it was a few years ago." Marshall said.

"It was a few years ago, Marshall." Chase said with a straight face.

"Oh.Right." Marshall said laughing awkwardly.
