I don't own these characters they belong to the wonderful mind of ShadieTree. These characters are a part of her story How To Be Straight. If you haven't read it I highly recommend it, its a great book. This is my One-Shot for her competition.

I would like to apologize to all the Dalvin shippers but this is a Merek fan fiction, I hope that doesn't discourage you from reading this though.

I had originally intended to go into detail about how Mike finally lost his V-card. But ultimately decided that although he is a masochist a first time should be romantic and memorable. And I suck at writing Romantic stuff so there is no smut in this. Repeat there is NO SEX, but there is some fluff that will get you those "aww that's adorable" moments in here.  So instead of it being rated M for mature it is now just PG-13 only because of the adult language.

~Derek's P.O.V~

"You're not even an asshole anymore," Calvin got up from the floor and glared at my eyes. "you're just a bully, and you know what. You're acting like the biggest fuckin' prick that I ever met. Nicolas was right you weren't the person for me."

I glare back at him with pure hatred. Was he really calling me worst than Nicolas. If it wasn't for me he might have been six feet under by now. "And you are the same exact sad, pathetic, ungrateful little bitch that I ditch three years ago." With every word I said I took a dangerous step towards him, but to my surprise he didn't back down and before I knew it we were inches apart.

He shakes his head at me "You're wrong. All that shit that has happened to me finally taught me how to stand up for myself." He offers me a malicious smile before turning to disappear into the growing crowd. "Oh and one more thing." He turns around and delivers me a killer right hook that knocks me on my ass. As I look up at him in shock he smiles an ice cold smile "Next time you wanna mess with me, remember that." He turns around and disappears.

Within a second Mike is on his knees and checking my face for signs of bruising. "Holy shit Derek, are you ok man."

I look up and see that worry has completely taken over Mike's face and my heart aches. Ever since I found Mike in the bathroom knucks bloody with shards of glass in them and crying I began having...feelings for them. The kind of feelings that way surpass our brotherly bond. The kind of feelings that I used to have for Calvin.

But I couldn't deal with the fact that I may like another boy that way. Calvin was supposed to be the only exception, I can't be turning into a full fledged dick lover. So I started drinking so I didn't have to think about Mike 24/7 and when that didn't work I started pushing him away, not enough to make him hate me but enough to make him believe that my feelings for him haven't changed.

I glare at him "No moron I'm not that waste of space just laid me out in front of the entire school." He was taken aback by my reaction but quickly shook it off and gave me one of his goofy smiles that made my heart beat pick up.

"Yea I know. You think he's been working out?" He helped me to my feet and once everyone saw that I was ok the crowd parted ways. "He's kinda hot when he's pissed off. Since you guys are done zo do you mind if I tap that."

I scowled at him both in anger and jealousy at the thought of Mike fucking Calvin. I smacked him upside the head and started walking out of school. "Let's go Dum-Dum. You're driving me home." Mike laughs and runs to catch up with me."
