Accidental Roommates

Chapter three: November

I walked into the music class today to see Luke, Ashton, Michael and Calum singing Year 3000.

I waited for them to finish then applauded them.

Ashton bowed.

Calum ran over and hugged me.

"Hey I'm sorry about before. . ."

"Don't worry about it" I moved out of his touch and hugged the other boys.

I don't mean to be like this with Calum, I guess we just had a rough introduction. Maybe if we hung out we would be able to clear the air?

Ashton picked up his bag and shoved his drum sticks into it. "Ready to go?"

"Go where?" Luke asked looking a little jealous.

"Ashton's taking me on a surprise trip as neither of us have any classes for the rest of the day."

Ashton smiles at me as I explained to Luke. He swung his bag over one shoulder and walked over to me.

"So I'll take that as a yes?" I nodded as he placed his hand in the curve of my back while walking to the door. Behind us you could hear Michael and Calum making kissing noises aimed at Ashton and I. It didn't bother me though, wait- did I just say that?!

After a long bus ride we arrived in a small market area, it was bursting with stalls filled with all kinds of wonderful things from clothes to cakes to flowers.

"Ashton this is amazing!" I smiled while adjusting how the strap of my backpack sat on my shoulder.

"It only comes around once every two months." He grabbed my hand and we walked over to a stall selling hats, sunglasses, phone cases etc.

He picked up a hat that looked a lot like the one the old guy on the plane was wearing - I wonder how he's doing - and put it on. I laughed and put on a floppy hat that was clearly too big for my head. Ashton moved beside me, pulled out his phone and took a photo. I used my hands to create a frame around my face. In my seventeen years of living I have never heard a sound as beautiful as the giggle that escaped the lips of this boy.

God damn it why is he so perfect?

In the end we bought a pair of sunglasses each because today was exceptionally sunny and Ash bought a fedora, which he rocked.

"You're so in denial Ashton" I clasped my stomach to ease the pain from laughing so much.

"No I'm not" He laughed looking down at me. "I do not have a bald spot, I just bought this hat because I like it."

"Okay, okay if you say so..." I moved closer and whispered in his ear "Your secrets safe with me"

He rolled his eyes and we began to look around the stalls again.

For lunch we got some fries and sat on a wall to eat them. Most of them ended up fed to birds but we were having fun and that's all that mattered.

"Hey Ashton?"

"Helloooo"

"I'm glad I didn't move dorm rooms"

"Me too"
