Okay I'm deciding to try my hand at a Story. Getting a new idea from scratch started is always difficult so if anybody has any suggestions I'm all ears.

I was standing in some sort of temple, a being was sitting on a throne in front of me. Purple lightning was crackling off him and the air seemed to be blowing towards him. He looked up at me and said "So you chose to fight after all, Intriguing." I tensed. I felt myself get into a position to fend off a attack. It was only then that i realized i had no control over my body. It was like i was watching somebody else do the fight from their body but could not control it or hear their thoughts. "Yes I will fight, i will do what i must" i heard myself, or rather the person i was watching this event from say. I could feel his hands shaking slightly but he was doing a good job at covering it up from his opponent. Than the being in the chair looked at me retaining his emotionless expression and said "Very well, it is rare that anybody fights me, when i lived before everyone would cower in fear before me. This is interesting indeed" Than he tapped a finger on his armrest and a wave of pure energy blasted out in a shockwave sending everything around him flying into the wall. I thought for sure the person i was watching from would be done for however before it hit him a stone pillar shot up from the ground pushing him out of the waves range, however the wave blasted the pillar to pieces and I fell back down onto the ground unscratched.

The being looked mildly interested in the fact that I was not killed by the impact of the energy blast. "That all you got!" the man i was watching from said. Than I felt my hands lift and a intense heat form in my hands. I was shocked to see a ball of condensed fire in my hands. Whoever i was watching this from was very powerful, but not as powerful and the being in the chair. I felt the heat leave my hands as the condensed fireball shot at the being in the chair with such speed it looked like a comment blasting faster than the eye can see. However instead of exploding on impact with the being in the chair; it stopped against a force field the being made with a lift of his hand. I could see the fireball pushing against the protective barrier struggling to break through however in the end it erupted into a giant burst of flames. When the flames died the being in the chair was unharmed, though he no longer looked indifferent, now he had a look of shock and anger, or at least thats what i looked like to me.

He looked at me and said "So the rumours are true of your skill, alas it seems i must get my hands dirty after all." He than stood up from the chair and looked at me. "Tempus"

In case it was not clear this is not the current time in the story. This is just some groundwork to get me started. The next chapter will start with our protagonist waking up and forgetting the details of the dream. Now this will happen from "Tempus"'s perspective later in the book so i may have to go back and revise this chapter to make sure there are no contradictions
