Cant See You Standing Here

Prologue-

A best friend is someone that is supposed to always be there for you. Someone that knows you better than yourself. Someone who puts your needs above their own.

A best friend is not someone that decides when you're allowed to talk and be friendly with them. But that was what my supposed 'best friend' Eli Collins did to me when we entered the sixth grade.

And that, was when I said goodbye to him too.

It's terrible really, how some people. come to care so much about what others think of them. But what's truly terrible is that Eli turned out to be one of them.

We used to have sleepovers, watch James Bond movies together, and we shared the same birthday too. Eli and I did everything together.

Now the only thing we did was make eye contact every now and then. And it was better this way.

Or at least, that's what I told myself.You would have never guessed that Eli Collins and I ,Lilly Sawyer, used to be best friends if you saw us.

Eli is your typical all American jock. He has wavy brown hair that falls into the most mesmerizing brown eyes I've ever seen and he's tall and muscular in a way that's not too obvious unlike most jocks. He's captain of the football team, baseball team, and soccer team. I on the other hand, was the school freak. My hair was dyed red and I wore thick black make up and I owned lots of black clothes. The only people that I talked to were my best friends who were goth like me. Their names are Zoey and Aide I became friends with Zoey and Aiden when Eli and I were fighting in the sixth grade. They were better friends to me than Eli ever was. "Watch it, freak." A jock muttered rudely, as he shoved by me in the hallway. I sighed. It was hard to believe that people treated me like this because of Eli. We used to be so close that people never even said our names seperately.
