Chapter 22

*time skip*
*months later*
*jamies pov*

I wake up sweating from my nightmare
"Stupid fucking nightmares" I whisper to myself , I've been having them for months now since what my dad did to me, I shiver at the thought. I look over to see a sleeping Daryl, he looks so peaceful when he sleeps, I wiggle out of his grasp trying not to wake him up but he does

"Sorry didn't mean to wake ya" I whisper to him

"I was already awake" he says back, I laugh

"Didn't look like it" I say while smirking, he chuckles than kisses me

"Les go eat" he says to me and I frown and nod, everybody from the Woodbury group thinks I'm a slut, non of them say it cuz they don't have the balls but I know they think it.

We both get up and walk outside to the outfit cafeteria Rick and Daryl made, since there is so many of us we needed to make something bigger than the cafeteria inside. We walk past people any they all say "good morning" or "hello" to daryl

"Just so you know I liked you first" I say to him

"Stop" he says while smiling, I laugh

"You know your gonna have to learn to live with the love" I say to him while grinning, he nods, we walk over to carol who was helping cook, she hands us both some deer meat

"I need you to see something" carol tells us, we nod, she tells Patrick to take over, he walks over

"Uh mr Dixon?, I just wanna say thank you for bringing home that deer, it was a nice treat sir, and I'd be honored to shake your hand" he says, Daryl licks his fingers than give Patrick a big hand shake, he nods and goes back to cooking, we follow carol and she shows us the big build up of walkers on the fences, we were gonna draw them out later.

I was helping Daryl get ready for the run we were going to go on with other people, I see Beth and Zach talking then they kissed each other

"It's like a damn romance novel" he says to them, And I laugh. We finish getting ready and I get on the motercycle behind him

"How Come I never get to drive the bike" I say while pouting

"Cause have you ever drove one before?" He asks

"Yep, Xavier's bike he had one before everything happened, some idiots stole it" I say

"Ugh fine you can drive only if I get a kiss" he says while smirking, I laugh than kiss him but we don't pull away we keep at it until we hear Sasha yell

"Come on love birds, we gotta go" , we pull away and Daryl whispers in my

"Lets go"

I start the engine to the bike and head towards the gate, we spot michonne,

"Hey look who's back" Daryl says to her and I smile at her

"I didn't find him" she says while frowning, I frown that bastard the governor needs to pay she says some stuff to Daryl but I zone out thinking about the governor I snap out of it when Daryl taps my shoulder telling me lets go, I drive out with them behind me.

We arrive at the big spot, I get off the bike and grab the bow from my back and holding out I front of me

"We go in take what we need them get out, we will come back with more people later he says while we walk through the gates, the military put up the fences for people to go, but it was a grave yard, I look at all the dead decaying body's and sigh, I walk up next to Daryl wanting him next to me, he hits the glass to the store to see if any walkers were in it

"We'll wait a minute" daryl says to all of us

"Ok I think I got it" Zach says to Daryl

"Got what?" Michonne asks

"He's been trying to guess what I was before everything happened" Daryl answers

"One shot a day........ Ok.... Homicide cop" Zach says, michonne and I laugh

"What's so funny" Daryl asks

"Nothing, it makes perfect sense" michonne says and I hold on my laughter

"The kids right actually, undercover. I just don't talk about it cause it was some heavy shit" Daryl says we all look at him in disbelief

"Come on dude really" Zach asks him and Daryl gives him a look that says are you that stupid

"Ok I guess I'll keep guessing than" Zach says

"Yah you keep doing that" Daryl says, than walkers come hitting at the glass,

"Are we gonna do this detective" I ask him while smirking

"Let's do it!" He says while getting up and standing by the door.

We clear all the walkers out and we drag them out the doors, we all walk in and go different ways, I make my way over to the canned food, halfway stocked, I grabbed almost everything I could fit in the bag and I heard a crash, I located the sound and saw bob stuck under a shelf me and Daryl were helping him when we heard another crash we look up to see a walker hanging from his guts on wire, then a walker fell from the roof and into the store right above us

"Ah shit!" I say while taking my knife out and stabbing that walker, then many walkers starting falling from the ceiling

"Jamie!!, are you ok!" Daryl yelled trying to find me,

"Yeah" I say finding daryl we fight against the walkers, when I look up I see a broken down helicopter on the roof

"Ah shit, Daryl" I say while motioning up towards the roof

"Everyone!! Out now!" He yells over the commotion from people fighting off walkers, we were running out when I heard a scream, I look behind me to see Zach getting bit on the arm, I was gonna run to him but then another walker bites his neck, I hear a crack and the roof is caving in, we all run out just in time before the roof collapsed

"Fuck!!" I yell angrily at what just happened, I look around to make sure everyone got out except Zach, we all walk towards the cars and the bike, I don't feel like driving the bike so I let daryl drive, we leave the now collapsed bigspot.

I'm in our room so exhausted from what happened today when I hear Daryl walk in

"Did you tell Beth?" I ask, and he nods

"How is she?" I ask

"She didn't cry" he says and I nod remembering when she told me she doesn't cry anymore

"Are you ok" I ask him, walking up to him and hugging him from behind

"I'm just tired of loosing people" he says, and I nod

"Me too" I say sighing, we both get in bed and try to fall asleep.
